Brock is not healthy, that is why he is splitting time. He looked like a very capable back earlier in the year.

I think this is the drawback of all those guys coming back for the extra year. We played a lot of seniors and super seniors last year and now have a lot of guys we're relying on with no experience.
A lot of teams had this happen though.

Had 1 successful screen to RB that half. That was new. Do we ever run draw plays? We run fair amount of WR screens. Do we ever see fakes out of those to set up long passes?
RPOs looked successful 2nd half versus TX. Have we run them today & just not executed? Can't tell today, so honestly asking.

It is not an indictment to alter the schemes & strategies if we do not have the horses to run what you would want to be base plays. If this comes down to QB, then let's do better to allow him to be successful. If OL can't hold up for long developing running plays, let's not continue to run them over & over (& over) again.

Another reason I was so upset they they didn't let Dekkers play more last year when it was clear the "dream season" was over. That really, really annoyed me.

You are 8 games into the year, i get what you are saying, but at this point of the year done with the lack of experience excuse

I think we'll come back and win this.
Very well may have more pts on the scoreboard. This fan base has been trained to not care about winning at all costs.

We've been preached to about detail and precision as our key to success.

Think we could all swallow losing in the outcomes. It's the process that's not acceptable.

This disaster in year 7, we have a problem. Where are the TEs they have been non existent for 2 years now. This is something that should have been addressed by now. Everyone knew we were going to loose our best TEs after 2020.

The lack of development for Brock is sad to see. He spent 3 years behind Breece (rightfully so) but is still splitting time with freshman. The Oline still getting overpowered consistently.

Special teams makes more mistakes than a high school freshman on his first prom.

Building a program with a 4 year rotation should have guys ready to step into vacated spots. They shouldn't have a "young team" at this point in the coaching staffs tenure.
Yeah. The year 7 part is what's really concerning to me. And that plays overall into the momentum of the program going forward.

O-line is atrocious. I can't get my head around how our O-line can be so bad in year 7. The guys look the part, but they're lost out there a lot of the time.

And Dekkers is still a work in progress. It's hard to say at this point if he's the man going forward. And maybe that's concerning as well this far into the season. IDK...

That screen is a TD or a huge play with any normal running back with some speed or elusivness. Brock looked really slow on that play, hence it was only a 10-15 yard gain. If he's thst banged up get somebody in there who isn't.

You do realize they are putting a ton in the box because they know Dekkers is inaccurate. By running some you keep them there and make it likely that we complete something downfield

Every opponent's goal should be to stack the box and make Dekkers get happy feet.

Risk the occasional deepish completion but overall not let much else happen plus things like ISU's receivers not knowing where the first down is.
