He is a good, not great coach, but it’s time to get rid of your buddies and find people that are actually fit for the position coaches on offense/special teams.
Maybe only his buddies want to work for him

Gene Chizik.

So yeah, he will be. But he is very stubborn and that is showing right now. I'm stubborn too but the idea that we're close or making progress this year - where? Other than a good defense which is going to wear down and we're wasting.

I remember when Dan McCarney was in demand.

So was CPR.

It's hard to win at ISU but you have to wonder what bigger programs actually think of someone who didn't make ISU the next late 90s Kansas State, which is way more enticing.

That's an upgrade in talent + being really fundamentally sound and humiliating teams given the chance.

Besides Chizik's Cam Newton season this hasn't been typical in recent seasons.
Yeah it's really only McDermott if we're being honest. Cpr has had a thousand jobs since he left, Hoiberg has done nothing but trend downward, Morgan sold satellite dishes, Tim Floyd sucked at 2 nba and 1 collegiate job, and mccarney enjoyed success but on a much smaller scale.

After one of those horrible first half penalties called on us.... they panned to CMC and he just laughed and shook his head. It's like he already knows that he will never get any calls while at ISU.... and unfortunately he's right.

The sport is all about $$$..... and the Big 12 has no interest in ISU being the top team in the league.
