We have a STUD QB currently committed. Other than that we’re still going to lack talent at WR, OL, and TE. Our RB room doesn’t have nearly the depth people think. Defense has some promising talent if it doesn’t get poached by NIL.
Hop in a time machine to 2019. Find a way to get Golesh the offensive coordinator and don't bring Manning back.

Yes, having the speed at UCF and now Tennessee helps him as the offensive coordinator but my god, his play calling and offense at Tennessee is fun to watch. We had him til 2019 when Manning returned and Golesh left at the end of the year to go to UCF.

Now, maybe that is a coincidence but seeing that he took an OC job, clearly I think he felt he was ready and after what he did for Tight ends up from 2016-19 with Kolar, Dylan and Allen - man do I wish he was back here

We let Spencer Rattler beat us for a conference championship. Let OU get out to a 24-7 halftime lead against us playing CampbellBall. Then made it close late, but still lost. By design, mind you. I absolutely hate the wait for the 2nd half strategy and know it doesn't work if your opponent knows that you play that way.

I was very surprised we beat Oregon in the bowl game. That team underachieved too.

We’ll have a new OC next year..

Because Campbell is going to take the first offer he can
that's adorable you think Campbell has ANY stock left. Imagine if he was at any other higher tier program. You think their fans and really, their boosters would settle for this? Campbell will never fire his buddy

Did ISU kill another promising coaching career?
No. He did that to himself. By design. Due to arrogance and hubris.

ISU built great facilities, expanded its stadium, and enhanced an already incredible tailgating and gameday experience. Fans have showed up.

ISU hasn't been in such a great position to compete since Earl Bruce was here.

Uhhhh. He's been given everything he's asked for and then some. Had incredible momentum and now there is uncertainty. He's beyond shooting himself in the foot. Time for big boy pants.

Agree. I love CMC and he has built up a lot of goodwill, but this is his first real adversity and accountability test while at ISU. Only he determines how it goes.

The record will be similar to a CPR team, but we’re not nearly as far behind the big 12 as those teams were. I honestly don’t know where you make that gap up other than just being a year older, but if you can find something, or someone, they could be a competitive team next year.

It's really hard to tell how "close" we are. I think our defense is so far ahead of many in the league that it makes us look a lot more competitive offensively than we really are because the scores stay so low on both sides. With that said, obviously it takes both O and D to win games so I'm not trying to negate that huge strength on defense.

Not only this, but one has to remember any job offered would have Manning in tow. A school might want CMC, but would not allow Manning. If he won’t fire his buddy here while sinking this ship, he will definitely say Tom is his man going into any new job.

Oregon was terrible. They were probably a 6-6 team in the PAC 12 if a normal year played out.

Lost to Cal and Oregon State that year. It's like the PAC-12 just randomly picked a team to play USC in the CCG and Oregon actually won so they made the Fiesta Bowl.

That’s right. They were just awful. 3rd place in their division. The Pac 12 and Big 10 were really screwed up that year.

Joe you are all over the place today.
My sister and my nieces wasted a lovely day today watching subpar football. They deserve to see a team coached by a multimillionaire show some improvement over a season, and especially with two weeks to prepare. Watching the same mistakes and ineptitude gets very, very old.

Rhoads and McDermott killed my fandom as a Cyclone fan. Seeing some really disturbing things that remind me of those eras. Cyclone fans deserve better.

Campbell has basically undone all the progress made since he was hired this year. We’re starting 0-9 in the face and in a conference that’s going to lose its two premier programs.

Thank god for TJ.
