Don't see what the appeal would be for them. They get the benefit of the doubt and glory that comes with it each year, for beating up on sisters of the blind and the poor in High School gyms out on the west coast. Why change now?

Travel partner for UO and UW. But we need another to keep things an even number. Wonder if there's another respectable basketball school in the Omaha region we could get?

Edit: didn't think about Wichita St. That could be another option instrad. Throw a couple mil their way.

I wonder if you added the zags how much it is about them and how much it is about just another reason to convince an Arizona or Utah to jump?
Or, hell, if there's not an invite coming from the big 10, Oregon\Washington? This would put the big 12 right in their backyard.

I also assume we would need a 14th team so that someone isn’t on a bye every game day. The Big East is the obvious place to turn to try to get someone. There are Georgetown/Villanova/UConn type brands that probably turn you down (you ask first anyway), but Marquette/Creighton are solid options.

I missed the whole Gonzaga angle. I thought the reason for the linked tweet was to let us know about the tweet below that Miss Argentina & Miss Puerto Rico are married.

Damn, I thought I had a chance!!! Appreciate peoples takes on Gonzaga joining Big12, it cheered me up.

Gonna have to stick with your backup plan, Giselle.

The Big East may be accessible in 2025. FOX/FS1 just added a ton of basketball inventory with their Big Ten increases and taking some of the Big 12. I can't imagine those big time basketball brands loving the possibility of lots of games on FS2.

The money would get weird but you'd think they could find a solution.

I also have no idea if message boards would still exist without constant realignment to talk about.

I know basketball doesn't drive revenue as much as football, but this is so smart in securing the conference's viability moving forward. Make yourself a solid third in football and a definite number one in basketball.
Agreed. I did notice an Yormak had an emphisis on the Basketball product the Big XII offered to media partners being a value add. This would fully align as much as Football will drive the majority of the money there is value to have all the live content Basketball offers Nov-March nightly filling their channels after the Super Bowl.
Keeps building the brand and would solidify the Big 12 as the premiere Basketball conference over the ACC/Big 10.
