Is your trust in CMC lost to fix this offense in 2023 and beyond?

I do feel like special teams has improved as the season has went on. At this point, they're not a total liability. Not great, but not horrible either. To me, you should never have a FR P and a FR K in the same season. Structure your recruiting to avoid that at all costs. You have to stagger those two positions or you're setting yourself up to fail.

I agree, special teams has improved quite a bit over the season after a horrible start. My issue there though is not with the kickers as I think both have shown to be capable but how many P5 schools don't have a special teams coach on staff? Back to the "win in the margins" Campbell preaches, well special teams is definately an area we have lost within the margins over the years with some just boneheaded mistakes like not fair catching a ball or getting the hell out of the way when you can't cleanly catch it or in coverage when we hit a guy that called fair catch. The blocked punts is all about protection and timing/footwork to get the punt off cleanly. All that stuff are things that should never happen if they were properly coached and executed.

ISU is a program that has to be very good schematically, and good at technique and fundamentals to compensate for talent disparities with other programs. We have a good culture, our teams are full of grit, they fight like hell to stay in games. But because of being poor schematically, and poorly coached in the fundamentals, the offense is really struggling. The staff and team continue to make the same mistakes over and over again. So if they haven't fixed blocking scheme issues, poor technique, false starts, and delay of games stuff by now, I really do not have confidence the current staff is going to fix it this off season. There simply has to be a change on the offensive side of the ball.

I'd bet Campbell fires the OL coach and that's it. And maybe that would truly be good. I haven't ever been impressed with Manning, but if he had a solid OL to work with, he'd look a lot better.

LS has been off last couple of games, accounting for missed kicks. OL is reason for his season plus TE’s lack of blocking and speed.

The TE's have been a bigger disappointment that I realized. I knew the production wasn't what it had been, understandable and expected after losing a couple of All Big 12 TE's, but after listening to Bruns most recent breakdown, I went back and watched some of the plays he referenced and holy crap. They miss sooo many blocks. What is even more maddening is that not only do they block poorly, but we still utilize 3 of them at a time SO OFTEN. 3 almost useless players on the field at a time, and so often on 1st and 3rd downs. That brings us back full circle to blaming the coaches again.

Not going to lie, I was very underwhelmed by his response. All coach speak. The only possible thing is maybe he knows staff changes are needed at the end of the season but doesn’t even want to hint at them until the season is over.

I wouldn't have an issue with Manning going back to coaching ISU's OL. But I struggle with him continuing on as OC. I just don't see enough creativity out of our offense or maybe more importantly play calling that keeps opposing defenses off-balance.

It also seems like our struggles go beyond what happens on Saturdays, but also with player development. We lack the depth that characterized Campbell's early years. Our rotations on offense are almost non-existent and we don't get much production out of our 2nd string.

Hard to say what team he has been watching but what "Really good football team" have they beaten this year exactly? I don't see much to be gained throwing coaches under the bus with two weeks to go either but damn.... that looked like a beat man up there.

No sure what people expect Campbell to say at this point. I am sure for seniors like Johnson, Vance, Downing his goal is win the last 2 games and hopefully a Bowl game is an option.

IMO there is ZERO reason to announce assistant coaching changes until the regular season is over. For better or worse- everyone is in this together until the season's over.

The other side is what games have they been blown out?

As disappointing as the season has been, we have been close in every game. As much as the blame falls on coaching, it equally falls on player execution. Five turnovers is hard to overcome against a solid team like Okie State.
