Is your trust in CMC lost to fix this offense in 2023 and beyond?

Jon Heacock implemented a completely new defensive scheme in a bye week before we played Texas. That was his successful and still used 3-3-5 defense. So yes, in-season adjustments can and do happen with the right coaching.
Sure give Heacock credit for making the change. But at the time personnel dictated the change and allowed ISU to get it's 11 best defenders on the field by going from 4-2-5 to 3-3-5.

But what changes would transform our offense? We don't have a better OL combination, injuries have limited the RB room and how do you get a QB to throw fewer INT's?

Sure the play calling could be better, but not sure that would fix most of our issues.

Absolutely not, the players that graduated were Studs just need to figure out the poor Offensive Line play! That’s the main problem with this team!

Let’s hope the transfer portal will open up and drop some solid linemen on us. And some really tall and fast receivers.

I think by giving his current guys the full season to attempt to fix issues will make it easier for him to make moves this off season as we saw no improvement. If we line up for our first game next year with the same staff at that point speculation would be fair.
There was improvement in the Texas game, but overall the improvement has been little to none so I agree changes need to be made based on what has happened so far and whatever happens in the next 2 games.

It seems like it might help for player and fan morale if CMC would just say the entire offense (including the coaches) has its work cut out for them in terms of doing what needs to be done to score more. Maybe there are strategic reasons not to say this, but it would tell the players that everyone (not just the players) has to improve in what they are doing and that the coaches must be a part of that improvement.

This.

I don't know what our coaches are trying to do, or worse what they THINK they are trying to do.

But to an average fan, if you watch enough football, you see play designs that just work, and you can tell which first and second options are almost guaranteed to be open.

Curious, what do you think ISU's best 2 pt conversion play is?
Blown extra point snap that turns into an outside run by the holder.

This postgame question/answer doesn't give me a ton of hope at the moment:

Question:
The inability to score inside the five yard line, what was going on there?

Campbell:
Yeah, you know I don't know exactly what's going on there. Obviously I'll have a better answer of why. You know I thought they were good play calls. I thought really, man, there was a lack of execution and why that happened I don't know.

That’s not particularly reassuring.

Well no matter. Time to negotiate a fresh and even more lucrative contract for Campbell and staff. It is best not to hesitate on this.

OMG.

Fire for cause.

You can't be blaming execution in week 11. How arrogant.
