He and Jaz are my two favorite players. Bought my son a "Big Rob Energy" shirt. Kid loves it.
I love Jaz, but Jones is my officially my favorite player. Nobody out works the guy. I still remember a lot of posters laughing when TJ offered him a scholarship. Looks like Rob is getting the last laugh.

We were due for a bench mascot. He's one of the best I've seen. Awesome culture addition by the staff.
Conrad seems like a great teammate. I'll bet he's actually a pretty good player (for a mascot), maybe a little rusty. Doubt he will see much court time though.

Can he shoot the 3? That's the next question.

Did anyone see the ref yell at the fan behind the scorers table? It was in the first half during the review of the double tech on gabe/big st johns guy (which was BS that Gabe got T'd).

Those refs had no control and were scared to try to get any control. If they gave a T to one guy they were scared and had to give one to an opposing guy. Never seen anything like that.

The announcers claim they don’t feel good about St. John’s headed into Big East play. I feel the opposite. I think they look really good. They’ve just ran into a juggernaut today. The Big 12 is one tough ******* conference and you’ve got to go through the grind or you don’t know what you’re in for. St. John’s is finding out today what Iowa State and the Big 12 is all about.

Man, I don't know about St. Johns. Personally, I was not impressed. They had some decent guards and the one big. But ISU would have rolled them if they made at least half of those bunnies. I didn't see anyone who was a real threat to take over a game. I haven't watched much Big East, but the difference between StJ and UCONN is huge. The only way I see them winning much in conference is if teams can't handle their press. ISU doesn't exactly have a bunch of elite ball handlers and we had no issues with it.

Was it my imagination, or did ISU not get to shoot a free throw on the T called on the SJU player that was fouled first. The call was 1 and 1 for the SJU player, but no free throw for ISU? Did anybody else catch that, or am I hallucinating or just do not kow the rules?

Fun game today, guys took care of business and controlled it from the jump.

Really impressed by the IQ and intelligence of Watson and Lipsey. Both are super active, don’t turn the ball over, play hard and have really grown over the first few games of the season. Excited about them both.

Big Rob continues to get after it and Jaz/CG are junk yard dogs.

Struggled to finish at the rim at times today and will need to be more efficient there as we move forward.

I think the PA guy messed up because they called Gabe for a technical too.

Any idea why Gabe was still in the game with 3 fouls in the first half? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player pick up 4 fouls in a first half. Maybe the staff didn’t know Gabe got a T too?

Those refs called a pretty consistent game but they were awful at managing the game and communicating with everyone.

Can't believe I'm saying this, but I feel like the main reason why the offense is better this year than last year is Robert Jones. When you have a big that you can throw the ball in to and get a bucket, that really helps avoid those long scoring droughts like we saw last year. He's not an automatic scorer and it doesn't look pretty, but he's going to score half the time when you get him isolated with the ball. I honestly feel like we're going to start seeing teams double Robert Jones in the post. Crazy.

He’s been a great surprise/help and I agree. Having a big come off the bench and grab 10 pts a night is HUGE.

That being said, need Osun to step it up a bit Thursday/in B12 play. 3/12 from the field today and at least 2 of those made baskets were dunks… Missing too much at the rim.

If it's the one where their big had a tantrum with Gabe and the ball hit him in the face? It was a double t on game and their dude. Gabe must have called him ugly cause he didn't do anything to deserve a technical.

At least they didn't allow a St. John's 3 in between giving said ISU player the rightful free throw!

He had 3 dunks which means he missed every other shot he took. I agree he doesn’t quite seem adapted to the toughness of high major play yet. Needs to man up and play physically stronger down the stretch.

His minutes have seriously declined. Im sure that must be what the message is from TJ. That’s probably the best part about Big Rob Energy is that he can show Osun exactly what TJ is expecting from him. Im just hoping he finds it in him. We need Osun for Big12 play. Badly.

Big Rob Energy has pretty good post moves. We haven’t had any player with post moves since Niang.

Gotta get after it on the boards too. He has less rebounds than Watson and Ward this season and has played a total of 40 more minutes than those two…
