I love Scheelhasse, and think he's a great coach and recruiter.

I'm nervous about having a first time coordinator in charge of a unit that was already struggling in game planning, execution, and game management.

It's possible Scheelhasse was getting looks from other schools to be OC, and only way Campbell could keep him is by promoting him. If that's the case, I agree with the move.

I'm 99.9% sure that was the case.

Who has he recruited? I honestly don’t know. I know that “the jimmy and joes are more important than the X’s and O’s“ so I hope he’s a great recruiter, game planning, schemes, adjustments, and feeling the flow of a game are important too (among other things). I was hoping for an outside hire, but hope to heaven this is the best hire ever!

Like others have said if the Oline doesn’t get fixed we could have Urban Meyer calling plays and it wouldn’t matter much.

I’m happy that Myers was let go because he wasn’t getting it done. Now please please get a good oline coach.
Yep, was definitely time for a change there. Still think it probably just comes back to we need to recruit better at that position no matter who the OL Coach is.

Some guy named Breece Hall, never heard of him myself.

I like it. Young rising star that would have been picked up by another program likely if this didn't happen. Not saying it will yield the same results because we have several issues on offense that need fixed for next year, but K-State promoted Klein and it turned out great for them. Point being bringing in an outsider isn't always the best move.

He is a smart guy by all accounts. He would have had no problem finding another job. Why would he stay if he couldn't put his stamp on the offense? If things were to stay the same, it would only hurt his future. He must also think there is potential for better results to put on his resume.

I think it was give Nate a chance or risk losing him. Who knows what that would do to recruiting as well as what the impact would be on the current roster. Lots of things in play here. From everything you hear about him, it sounds like he deserves an opportunity to move up. Hopefully it works out.

I am liking the Sheelhasse move more and more. Since he has been around, I feel it would be beneficial since he has seen what works and doesn't first hand and maybe he already has fresh ideas how to fix them. Since he is staying the WR coach, besides OL, who else are we replacing on the offensive staff, or did I miss something?

Will need a RB coach as well.

You give Scheelhaase the OC job. Or you plan on Scheelhaase becoming an OC someplace else. And he is an ace recruiter.
