Well, I've already lost $235 on the scam so I don't want to spend any more.
Sucks learning these lessons like that. With the PS5 still hard if not impossible to come by in stores, its either rare or a scam if someone is offloading one for any less than $50 to 100 below retail around here.

My wife thought she was getting it from someone she knew (went to high school with) so we let our guard down a bit. The scammer provided a fake Fed Ex site (didn't realize it until this morning) with a fake tracking number.

Your bank/credit card company should have fraud protection. I would call and either dispute the charge or straight up cancel it.

Not sure, she paid through Venmo.
I know PayPal has protections, not sure about Venmo. I suppose it would also depend on if you had money in your Venmo account or if you just used Venmo to charge your card. I think contacting your bank would be your best option IMO.

just checked with the bank they said there is nothing they could do.

I would notify Venmo at the very least. Perhaps they can do something if they are contacted within a certain amount of time. At minimum they should shut down that other account.
