NYE in Ames

Does anyone know of a good place in Ames to celebrate NYE? A few ladies in our crew want to go dancing but not at a sweaty college bar. Any suggestions?

I lived in Ames for 6+ years, and I never spent a NYE in Ames!

Cornbred and Noir are probably your best bets in Ames. With students gone, it seems like New Years has historically been a neglected holiday. Des Moines will likely have better options for extravagant parties with once-a-year extravagant covers.

Along with St. Patrick’s Day, I see NYE as amateur night, where you not only have to watch out for the usual drunks, but also the folks that only go out once a year (and go WAY too hard). Treat yourself to a nice dinner on 1/7 and enjoy this evening from the comfort of your own home.
