Just own it.

It’s pretty obvious that we have a defensive system that is going to keep us in and win us a baseline amount of games. Law of averages says we will shoot well enough in enough of those games that we will win our fair share. Had enough of the hok fan attitude out of a decent sized subsection of ISU fan. Just Shut up and watch.

I never said we wouldn't make the NCAA, but I did say early in the game that Baylor was a lot more talented and that we'd have to play harder to win the game. I'd stand by that. We did end up playing a lot harder.... and I do think Baylor is a lot more talented.
Nope not calling you out at all as you weren’t one of those basically claiming the season was over 10 minutes in. You were spot on with your thoughts and everything you said is correct. And that’s what happened. We picked up the play big time near the end of the first half and in the second half once they cut it close.

Your negative to positive post ratio is pretty bad for a big win.

Well, we may be still jumping to conclusions about March now. No one has a crystal ball. A lot can happen between now and then. The conference play can be a grind and unpredictable. I have a feeling this year in particular there won’t be a dominate team.
Correct. The difference is I don’t think anybody thinks this win just proves we are making the tournament now no matter what. The early part of this game saw several idiots in here saying this team has no chance of getting to the dance because they clearly don’t have it offensively and the defense isn’t nearly as good as last year. Welp…

And sure we could melt down and not make the dance all the same moving forward. But to say this team has no chance 10 minutes into the first conference game of the season should get you permabanned.

Great game today, but you better hold onto this one.

I didn't watch today but is it evident after 1.5 seasons that:

A) he's capable of having big games that make a difference, thus giving him the green light?

B) he helps a great deal in other areas that are critical to the identity to the program's success?

Honestly he’s been way better as of late. He and I had a dust up on how negative he is, and I think he’s been way better. Never going to just flip the switch, but a little less chicken little and letting things play out more. Or he’s been far better about actually trying to offer negative thoughts constructively like how things weren’t going well at all because Baylor has more talent and was out hustling us. He said we would need to match their intensity due to the athleticism and that’s what happened once a few shots started to fall for us.

Admittedly so. That stretch they looked absolutely abysmal on both sides of the ball. Prior to the half ending and the entire 2nd half they looked like the team that upended the number one team in the country in Portland. I think most were fooled.

Did you ever notice that like almost every single basketball game ever or even every sporting event has ebbs and flows throughout the contest?

I didn't like Caleb's haircut till he started hitting 3s. Weird.

FIFY because here we are again a year later with fans expecting this flatline of success.

Good Gabe and The Grill converged in some sort of astrological event and went 10-18 from three. If people understood Stonehenge better and how it works they could have predicted this. ;)
I think 1-12 from three against Franiacs. They are just both really streaky so can win about any game and lose about any game. This is probably more important in the long haul, and the delusional Hawks quieted down after whatever directional IL game.

Just a huge win. Steal one of the next two in the road and we in good shape.
