Oh I totally agree. Kunc is important to what we do, too. Even if he isn't a 3rd team All Big 12 caliber type of playerWe're down two players. Injuries are part of a long season.

And I would call myself a big fan of analytics. I think the team level advanced statistics are solid, and I think the player level component statistics are good (like all of the rate statistics, true shooting percentage, etc.). But especially when comparing to a sport like baseball, it's just really difficult to measure a player's impact when team performance relies so much on everyone collectively. Thanks for this.
Analytics and sabremetrics or whatever the hell they are called can be fun to look at, but they don't tell the whole story. GK was one of the best players on the floor yesterday, and we wouldn't have won without him. Sometimes it's just that simple.
Big Rob was big cringe yesterday. That move where he ended up pinning himself under the basket and decided to shoot anyway, getting his shot blocked by the rim, made me feel kind of bad for him. Love it when he plays within himself, but when he tries to be a hero sometimes, I just have to do my best not to avert my eyes
Lol, watching the recording now and just saw that. We must really turn it on in the second half because they first 12-13 minutes are difficult to watch.Big Rob was big cringe yesterday. Just win, baby!!But did it look like a double digit win over a ranked team that ISU has rarely beaten over the last 5-6 years is the question.

Certainly makes a difference. We still win though. We're also down two likely starters with Williams and Kunc out. Although at this point I'm not sure Williams starts over Lipsey.Does LJ Cryer make any marked difference for them yesterday, or do Cyclones still roll?
It was decently done for most of the game but there were a couple of stretches that were horrendous. From the 16 minute mark to the 12 minute mark in the first half was really bad. Then Bonner had a really bad stretch in the second half.Well officiated game yesterday overall. Any complaints about it is nitpicking.
Watching a highlight compilation ... underrated sequence (~15:55 mark on video, approx 10:45 game clock). Turnover, but Osun hustles back, gets possession ... concludes with a Grill 3.
5-point swing. Was 56-49 when it happened ... 59-49, Baylor could have had a fast-break layup to cut it to 56-51.
This team is nowhere without that guy.Big Rob was big cringe yesterday. Bob fits the mold of a guy who does some bad things, oddly well at times. At the end of the day, the method matters less than the statbook and his job is to make a few shots. Finesse and great skill not required. If junkyard ball for him produces more points, then by all means go for it. No such thing as style points.Certainly not his best game by a long shot, but those five points he did get were absolutely huge for when they happened.
I think the more he thinks, with the pump fakes and what not, the worse he is offensively. He just needs to go up with the ball strong instead of trying the finesse stuff. He's certainly not a finesse kind of post player.
No review on what happened to Gabe? Yet they took ages to review what happened to Thamba?
Can we see that again? Jesus.
