For some reason, I followed the game thread for 6 or 7 pages before having a family thing. Just watched the recording and enjoyed. Fun to go back and read those early posts now!

My working theory is that this board is disproportionately populated by Minnesota Vikings fans and this is just how they've been acculturated to operate as a defense mechanism.

Just waiting to see the Highlights on SC, and my perfect NYE will be complete.

Got to watch recording of the game last night.

TJ just coached circles around Scott Drew. I think I saw Drew talking to himself at one point. I have always liked the TJ pick but man, he knows how to squeeze every ounce out of his team.

His in game coaching has been the biggest surprise to me. Maybe a little bit Kyle Green there too? I knew he would be a great recruiter and culture guy and a solid game prepper and developer but man how many times this year have we come out of halftime and gone on a run? Or done something new in the second half that the other team can't seem to handle like yesterday and against UNC with making Bacot handle the ball

Agreed. I think a lot of it has to do with his demeanor during the game. He is always studying/thinking, not wrapped up in the emotion of the game. Even if the team hits a bad stretch, he gets them settled down in a TO and they come back out confident.

Still going to be dog fight to get to 8 or 9 wins in conference but got start thinking we have a chance to hold serve at home.

Just rewatching, and I was wrong on that, but Gabe affects the flow of the opponent's offense pretty much every game. Just very solid and disruptive, rarely out of position.

I couldn't watch all but did see some clips with him in the middle of the 1-3-1 which was interesting. Makes sense though with his ability to get in the passing lanes.

Does LJ Cryer make any marked difference for them yesterday, or do Cyclones still roll?

When Rob tries to do too much you get what you got today. When he slows down and let the game come to him he actually does some nice things. Funny enough he played pretty darn well for the last quarter of the game. Him Ward and Osun compliment one another well too which I love.
Big Rob was big cringe yesterday. That move where he ended up pinning himself under the basket and decided to shoot anyway, getting his shot blocked by the rim, made me feel kind of bad for him. Love it when he plays within himself, but when he tries to be a hero sometimes, I just have to do my best not to avert my eyes
