Wow. No targeting call feels so wrong. Happy for TCU, but that defender was a dumbass for that play and got lucky.

That was definitely targeting. But it was also an illegal forward pass. So… I guess they call neither?

Well…it was.

Wasnt to the head or neck area, was to the shoulder pads.

Refs did not want to be the ones to make that call and potentially change this outcome on that. Michigan still had a small chance in hell they would score in 25 seconds but these refs wanted no part of that. That’s as much targeting as others we have seen. Glad they didn’t call it though and reward Michigan for a terrible execution of a last play there.
