That Bears loss was under horrible field conditions if I remember right, but the point remains. That was weird as hell.
Yeah, without looking at the stats, scoring 10 points in an NFL game against 2 of the worst teams is pretty embarrassing.
Considering that SF was trying to get rid of Jimmy G preseason and that this is the last year of his contract, I would think it's a no-brainer to let him go and ride with Purdy and Lance. Lance has the bigger contract, but Purdy has shown out so far.
I think barring some horrific collapse, it's Brock's job to lose at this point. Plus, I think I saw that Lance had yet another surgery on his ankle just a week or so ago.
No guarantee Lance improves mentally either. Intangibles are the biggest thing with QB's. People with better physical tools will always get the right of way to prove their own worth. Brock is lucky enough to get his chance. If he can win a game or two in the playoffs and not making a horrible mistake, he should keep the spot. The cap money is when it gets interesting. Wtf do they do with Lance?
Not to go off topic, but will Brock get some kind of financial bonus from SF due to his performance? Kind of a good faith thing? Assuming he continues to perform and they do decent in the playoffs?

Doubtful. Especially if they keep Lance around they won't have cap room.
Purdy is staying the starter but the Broncos loss was with Jimmy G at QB.
I remember Lazard mentioning some sort of payment structure based on snaps played during that pod with CW. I had never heard of that before. Something happened to that with the COVID weirdness though. He mentioned that being a big part of his salary based on his minimum contract. Not sure if that is back or not.
Does anyone know how jersey sales work for the players? This article says the players get 2/3rds of the sale. I question the article below because I would expect the owners the get part of the jersey revenue, not 2/3rd to player and the other 1/3rd to the union.

Purdy may make more from his jersey than his salary this year. If he's sold 10,000 jerseys at $120 and gets 67% that would be $804,000. Peaking during the Christmas season is profitable.
Brock's play with the 49ers is very reminiscent of his early years (first three years) as a Cyclone when ISU had some of their best receiver weapons like Hakeem Butler, Kolar, etc... surrounding him. The body fakes that freeze lineman, his pump fakes, and looking off safeties and defensive backs are very much what he did time and again at ISU.

Most likely means that 2/3 of the portion allocated to the player go to the player, and 1/3 to the union, but thats not my area of expertise.
I'd have to think that most of it goes to the apparel company, with a good chunk to the retailers, then eventually on down to the players.
I doubt the 67% comes from the retail price.
He had Butler one season and never really had a serviceable 50/50 ball type receiver after.
With Hall at RB even with bad Oline play roll outs should have been the norm.
Not my area if expertise either but It would almost shock me if 2/3s goes to the player per jersey. That seems like a high number given all the different parties involved probably dividing that pie.
Maybe 49er nation will create an NIL fund to retain Purdy before he jumps into the transfer portal.
That makes sense. I'm guessing it is still a decent cut of the retail price since you see the NFLPA logo all over the official sites and the NFLPA puts out the top selling list.
He had a good receiver/big target/50-50 guy with Pettway in 2019. That was followed up with X coming on board in 2020 and putting in a Big 12 Newcomer of the Year performance.
