Not exactly sure.
I think we all need to remember how the bowl game thing works. When you have your top team go to the Championship or one rung higher than normal, the rest get matched up with teams that are one step better in the bowl games. Therefore, causing more losses than normal.

People made fun of the Big 10 for years for this. Now it's our turn. It is unfortunate that TCU is getting embarrassed. That may keep the Big 12 from getting selected in the future over another conference. But, in the long run, it doesn't matter that much. It is the case that teams from every conference have been beaten badly at some point in time and miraculously, their conferences still exist, their fans still show up hopeful every season and the sun rises every single day.

Now what this may do is keep TCU from having the recruiting advantage we hoped they didn't get. So there is a bright side.
People made fun of the big ten because they didn’t make the playoffs and still had crappy bowl records.

Now the games outside the playoffs don’t matter as much. Cause so many players sit out.

TCU has some good DBs. I don't understand why they can't stay in front of Bowers. Of course, Bennett looks extraordinarily sharp tonight so that has something to do with it.

"Get settled in"? You had two whole quarters to "settle in".

Kind of in a no win place there down this big.

Not like he can say "yeah, we just got absolutely buttfucked on national television for the last hour, this one is over"

Lol, whatever helps you sleep.
I’m sure Big Ten fans would love it if another conference got 50% of playoff teams, went 0-2, then talked about how amazing it is. Thankful playoff is expanding, SEC is only conference that’s ever been good enough to merit 2 of 4 teams in such a small format.

Oh, I get that but he needs to come up with something better than the team not getting "settled in" this late in the game.

How? There’s been plenty of blowouts in championship games. Most of these games suck because there’s zero parity in college football
Don’t recall any championships with that type of scoreline. USC 55-19 over OU maybe. Another instance of the Big 12 embarrassing though.

Maybe. But on the night UGA played tOSU, they were pretty much beaten and playing from behind all night, made a very nice late comeback, and were gifted a missed FG to get the win.

Cool. OSU still lost.

After watching the first half, the thought entered my mind of how the hell does Oklahoma and Texas think they can compete with these semi-pro teams like Georgia.

When do our season tickets go on sale? Can’t wait for September!

UM wouldnt have done any better than TCU. UGA is the best team in the country all year.

Here’s the deal…. tOSU has a ton of talent, close to as much as Alabama possibly….. but they are total head cases and not well coached.

Georgia has more talent than anyone, but if they aren’t clicking on all cylinders, and someone like Alabama or tOSU are clicking on all cylinders…. Georgia could lose. But if they played a bunch of times, Georgia wins almost all of them.

TCU just had too much speed for Michigan. Michigan doesn’t have that much talent, just hard nosed and well coached.
