I don't think they would have either. Styles make fights. Michigan's style is all wrong for beating UGA, plus they're not quite at the same level talent wise.

Maybe. But on the night UGA played tOSU, they were pretty much beaten and playing from behind all night, made a very nice late comeback, and were gifted a missed FG to get the win.

This is just added proof that playoff expansion really wasn't necessary. The drop-off between the top couple teams and the rest of the upper tier is usually pretty big. Even in the 4 team format there have been a lot of lopsided games in either the semifinals or the final.
