I hope the Rams and Chargers Draftniks are watching this game for future players!

So in a 12 team playoff, Georgia, Bama and Tennessee all would be in. LSU would likely make it without the A&M loss. Sign me up.

There are 3 teams that have elite talent all over the field, Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia. All three schools' backups are better than most schools are starting. Look at the recruiting rankings year after year, those three teams are at the top. Luckily for most weeks, they do not play up to their potential week to week, but when they show up, like tonight, they are unstoppable.

This is just added proof that playoff expansion really wasn't necessary. The drop-off between the top couple teams and the rest of the upper tier is usually pretty big. Even in the 4 team format there have been a lot of lopsided games in either the semifinals or the final.

You could make an argument that the 4 team playoff formula contributed to that lack of parity though, and that a 12 team playoff might provide a small amount of relief to that since more programs will have a realistic shot

What a difference a week makes. I think it was in the fourth quarter last week against OSU when @isufbcurt wondered why they weren’t targeting Bowers.

Yeah they were saving his energy for this ass kicking - Woof woof woof woof

Bennett is showing great accuracy on some of these throws tonight.

More shots at your NC, more money to go around. The talent will spread out naturally.

The playoff expanding should (hopefully) level the playing field a bit. When you give conference champs a home game in the first round that changes things immensely. The 2nd and 3rd teams in the SEC coming up to Ames, Manhattan, Madison, Ann Arbor Columbus, etc in December really gives an advantage to the B10/12 champ. Won’t just be track meets inside nice air conditioned domes

At least this is what I’m hoping…

Not exactly sure.
What makes college football good. Some teams match well against others, consistent performance by a team is rare. Georgia was looking past OSU and OSU held it close. Georgia brought it tonight.
