TCU has some good DBs. I don't understand why they can't stay in front of Bowers. Of course, Bennett looks extraordinarily sharp tonight so that has something to do with it.

Because Bowers is a ******* STUD. He's been the best TE in college FB the last 2 years and will be again next year since he's to young to go Pro.

The playoff expanding should (hopefully) level the playing field a bit. When you give conference champs a home game in the first round that changes things immensely. The 2nd and 3rd teams in the SEC coming up to Ames, Manhattan, Madison, Ann Arbor Columbus, etc in December really gives an advantage to the B10/12 champ. Won’t just be track meets inside nice air conditioned domes

At least this is what I’m hoping…
Playoff expansion may make it more difficult for a Big 12 team to win a title. More access, but a team like Alabama was likely one of the four most talented teams out there, and now some of these more talented teams will have a pathway that they were shut out of previously.

Maybe, I really don't think this is the best Big 12 team or best TCU team. Probably got lucky to catch Michigan instead of second SEC team.

TCU's 2014 team I'd have voted #1 in final poll and I never felt this team was remotely as dangerous. Honestly Baylor that same year probably could have won it all too as much as it makes me puke knowing what they did.
Michigan State embarrassed Baylor in the bowl game if I recall. Baylor was not really that good that year. It was OU with Riley before Riley was there. All offense and zero defense. Now TCU, I will agree I think they legit were maybe the best team that year. Sucks they didn't get a shot.

Baylor lost the game to Michigan St. 41 to 42, about as far away from an embarrassing loss as you can get.

If your talking the cotton bowl we won but it wasn’t a blow out. We did send their punter into another dimension that game. He was a good sport about it and posted on Twitter confirming he was still alive

It will be interesting to see how well Bennett plays at the next level when he does not have elite level players around him at every level. Purdy need had that ISU, and now we are seeing what he could do once he had it. Lots of Alabama QB's flame out in the NFL, when all of a sudden, the other team has talent on the same level.

Iowa State could win 9 games with that schedule!

The only positive is that when a great team has a cake schedule, they can let their guard down and get sloppy.

@ Auburn, Florida @ Jax and @ Tennessee are all potential Upsets if those teams are not dragging ass, as they all have good talent.

Then, Alabama could be waiting @ Atlanta.

Trust me, I want Georgia derailed. No way can they be allowed to become the first 3-Peat National Champion in the Poll Era!

Mac, Tua and Hurts all say "Hi". I think Bryce Young will struggle though if he lands in a crap-hole like Houston. He could be a great QB in a finely tuned system, but I don't think he is a franchise guy like Peyton Manning or John Elway were. He's too small.

Watch the 4th Quarter of that game again, Michigan State pummeled Baylor and stole the game. A game in which EVERYONE assumed Baylor would win while naming the score against the "Slow and un-athletic" Spartans. Welp. I still remember, and loved, watching that Baylor punter get absolutely destroyed.

I need to clarify why I said embarrassed. Yes, by score they weren't embarrassed. But people and Baylor themselves were ticked about being left out of the CFP. They were whining about it, and most of the national media was sure they would absolutely destroy your Spartans. Well, it's embarrassing because the opposite happened, and Michigan State punched them in the mouth in the 4th Qtr and won. Meanwhile, TCU obliterated Ole Miss, and made a real claim they were left out unfairly. Baylor needed to make a statement in that Cotton Bowl, and they didn't.
