I don't like it any more than the rest of you that we lost Hunter, because we enjoyed watching him play, etc., BUT with time, I'm over it. Especially since this year's team is SO fun to watch right now.
Actually, I wish we'd delete this entire thread.
Why? Because I'm enjoying watching Osun and Holmes play...transfers. Kalschuer, Kunc, etc. I hope to enjoy watching Jeremiah play next year, and that next good contributing transfer we bring in, etc. Why do we just keep beating a dead horse?

Because its fun making fun of someone who was disrespectful towards the program on his way out and having that choice blow up in his face

Hopefully we crush Texas next week and Tyrese has a horrible game. I think that would go a long way in helping this fanbase get over it. If the opposite happens... Oh boy.

Because this is CF. It’s what happens here.

Despite trading up Rhoads--> Campbell, Prohm --> Otz, and Hunter --> Lipsey some posters love being miserable and constantly talking about the ex. We still have posters that feel wronged by Marcus Smart's flopping and bring him up. He had minimal success against us and has been out of college for almost a decade. Let **** go.

Yeah I get bringing up the past but there's a lot of vitriol with some of it. An unhealthy amount. It has moved from Bolton to Hunter.

Im not sure why people are being so sensitive over this. We cant sports hate him? I don't think anyone is saying they want to slash his brakes or whatever.

He made a choice, was a butthole about it, and is seeing poor results over it. It aint that deep

I do find it very strange we have people here who still cheer against Hoiberg for going to an open job at a program we have nothing to do with anymore but with Tyrese if you're not coddling him like a newborn you're some sort of psycho

The kid could have had an amicable split but chose not to. I don't think we need to sit here and hope he succeeds at the highest level and goes on to NBA stardom. In fact I don't think there's anything wrong with hoping that his decision to leave negatively impacts his professional prospects. Sending him tweets or DMs or any of that non-sense is definitely over the line, but not feeling too sad if he doesn't have success at Texas isn't.

Who cared about Bolton leaving? I legit do not remember a single person caring that much other than the people who were anti TJ tryinf to spin it way worse than it was
A LOT of people cared about Bolton leaving. If you think "not a single person did other than the anti TJ people" you're being naïve.

I think he meant people weren't upset about Bolton leaving.. I wasn't upset whatsoever, especially after I heard how much of a pain he was in the locker room (although I think this ended up being a huge Coach Prohm issue).

Lipsey makes it really easy to get over it. 4-0 start to Big 12 makes it even easier.

Before we saw Lipsey play at B12 level and with the Williams injury news it was understandable people were in sky falling mode given new situation of NIL and Hunter's fib that money had nothing to do with his choice to leave the currently best NBA point guard school in college basketball.

I agree that Holmes/Osun being teammate transfers can be even more devastating and we should brace ourselves for that especially in football. IIRC Iowa already lost a combo deal transfer of pretty good football players.

Don't delete the thread though, it's natural to have this kind of passion. Look at Gabe's interview before the season, he's passionate on the topic. TJ probably shut the topic down but it doesn't mean they feel different.

I'm sure I can find posts where people thought Rasir "didn't want to be here" when he entered the portal. Hell, maybe even me.

I haven't seen people claiming we need to hope Texas wins the national championship.

But I have seen some dopes acting like ISU fans need to cheer for him which is crazy dumb.

Texas tried to destroy the Big 12. I'd probably cheer against Texas in cross country and those runners have nothing to do with that situation...just general dislike of Texas is the most normal thing right now.
