I felt the same way with Dougie McBuckets when I specifically went and watched Harrison Barnes. Doug wasn't "trimmed up" but he was a really good high school player. After they played a Pella school at Wells Fargo, my wife thought he was the best player on the floor.

Ames played Pella or Pella Christian?

How quickly someone goes from a hero vs LSU, a feature on Sportscenter the next day, a W over Wisconsin (he didn't play that well), to this. I wish he would have stayed, whatever, we've taken way more transfers in than out. Hope we kick their ass on Tues.

ISU's top tier isn't getting what Creighton's lower tier is getting (as of the beginning of the season).
That's direct from a staff member to me.
lot of money in that Creighton program is what I hear, not sure if true. Plus, no football to support

I PM'd Blum my source and the money #'s. He agreed with it and expanded on it more.

Because its fun making fun of someone who was disrespectful towards the program on his way out and having that choice blow up in his face
Our coaches wanted him to stay, fans wanted him to stay, thats all we could do. I guess I don't remember how he was 'disrespectful' to the program on his way out. You mean stating he wanted more talent around him not to carry the load? And I don't know if that was said or assumed by other statements.

This is sad.

Even with football we should be able to be better than Creighton for NIL.

I don't mind losing out to Texas particularly because we have seen that too many high-priced NIL options can implode (Texas A&M, player not getting paid at Texas, etc.), but our best guys should not be UNDER benchwarmers on other Big 12 or Big East programs.

I may need to up my We Will amount.

Based on what I'm seeing on twitter and hearing from folks in Ames still...

This has potential to be the most toxic environment in Hilton in a long time. Like more than the 2013 KU game.
Hopefully it is simply very raucous. Texas is an easy team to root against regardless of who is on the floor. We can boo Tyrese if it makes us feel better and be loud and proud for the entire game, but I hope we do not stoop to personal attacks.

Are you going to own up to being duped by a ****** photoshop job?
Sure. I did not know the actual situation and was more agreeing to the comment about the boss.

I had not seen the picture and didn't know it was under scrutiny.

But, you have a point and if you feel I was duped, I probably was.

I can admit when I am wrong, becuase it happens so rarely. :jimlad:

Have a nice day.

I was at the game when Haluska returned after transfering to Iowa. The crowd booed every time he touched the ball. It was pretty fun overall though since ISU torched them that day if memory serves. Ugliest environment I've ever been in was the Pierre Pierce game. I don't ever want to hear a crowd chanting "rapist" full throat at a player again. Just terrible all around.

I hope we don't boo more than initial intro (miracles do happen) and bad calls of course ;) but then I, too, hope it just becomes an active, deafening, energetic crowd to beat Texas's butt. I'd rather have Tyrese score 25 and win, then expend everything towards hopes of him having a bad game and lose focus on the main goal.

I am fine booing every time he touches the ball and then going quiet when he passes as long as it goes for extended periods of time.

We have done that before with other players and sometimes it seems to impact the whole team. Usually this was done with the opposing team's point guard. (Although I have also seen the booed player go off despite the tactic). Regardless, it makes for a fun game experience.

This. I have no problem with booing and whatnot. I was at the Iowa game last year and wasn't a huge fan of the students chanting "F*** Bohannon!" at Jorbo. I'm sure we'll here plenty of "F*** Tyrese!" chants. Not only is it a bad look IMO, but it lacks imagination.

If the music team doesn’t play take the money and run during warm ups it’s a shame

That would be priceless.

Just like students flopping with Marcus Smart.

Have some fun with it......but stop taking it so personal.
