It can be done. Look how physical TJ has made our men's team.
Which would be great if the women's game were called that way. But it isn't. ISU gets called for a lot of ticky-tack stuff, while UT (and similar) are allowed to forearm, push, and shove their way around the court without a whistle.
That included turning over the entire roster. CBF has said many times he will not coach or teach that style of play. Probably to our detriment against a team like Hacksas but doubt it will change while he is in charge. Maybe the next coach can implement that style - me personally if they do my interest in watching will be greatly reduced.
Like the first UT basket of the game - UT player extends her arm to create space and we are called for the foul. Meanwhile, Carolyn Peck is loving how she "played through the contact." You mean, the contact she created and should have been called for an offensive foul.
then we will never ever make a deep run in the tourney...Sweet 16 while fun is the ceiling for that style of play....I'd like for us to make a final four at some point, but not with how we play
You go right at them and match them like we did much better in the 2nd Quarter. Look a lot of other less-talented teams in the Big 12 can seem to handle Texas’ pressure but we somehow year after year just succumb to it. We are not a physical team I get it, but enough is enough at some point and the ladies really took that approach in the 2nd and took it to them to try and match their physicality.
