Upper Balcony? It's a least 5 degrees warmer than the lower part of the balcony parquet even cooler yet. I always were short sleeve shirts to MBB because of that reason

I am not in the upper balcony.. I’m in the arena circle. If your statement is true… that had to be unbearable in the second level.

It was a missed call. It was pretty obvious.

Am I sorry about it? Not really. We've had a ton of calls go against us, in our opinion. Besides, we beat em square up, by 11. It's not like it was a 1-3 point game, like at the Phog, and then we lose the game because of it.

Texas has gotten their share of calls in the past. In FB and BB.

Let them cry. There was a play late in the game where Gabe got tackled from behind and no call. You know when TJ has to chase down the official it was a blatant miss. Then a few minutes later Gabe got called for a foul where the Texas guy tripped over his own feet and they got 2 free points out of it.

Yeah it's warm but you just live with it bring a water along usually. Way better than not being there.:) Congrats on being arena circle.

Yeah holistically I'm taking Shoon. McKay could fly around and block shots and take lobs but was pretty limited. And I know he was DPOY but if he really didn't guard greatly iirc.
Yeah, Osun playing like this is miles better than McKay. McKay was a shot blocker but wasn’t a great defender. Osun is the total package. When they switch out high he is amazing guarding 1s. Hell Jones, King and Ward are great at it too. A great defender can block a lot of shots, but a shot blocker isn’t necessarily a great defender. McKay was a nice eraser at times, but Osun does it all on the defensive end and has some legit scoring skill.

I think people needed to expect an adjustment period for Osun. Leagues like the A10 and mid majors have always had good guard play. But legit bigs are a rare commodity, so not too many get past the power leagues. So Osun hasn’t faced the bigs like he is every game in the big 12.

Lol. Homan was a beast.
Homan was awesome. Really hard to compare from 20 years ago. We went from an NCAA tourney win and dropped off the next year losing pretty much just Homan. That could’ve been partly another year of Wayne’s coaching taking affect.
Homan was so damn physical and tough. What I remember most was through the rest of the tournament every game Billy Packer did every time a big would get stuffed or fail to finish at the rim he would reference Homan and how he “refused to be stopped.”

Yeah and it's not a knock on McKay; he fit those teams well.

Shoon right now is doing a lot of things even if it's not highlight reel material. ISU in general to me seems to play defense to regain possession vs. swatting the ball into the 3rd row.

And offensively, even though it looked like Shoon had a wide open lane on some situations the other night, the pause before driving seemed to help him get position and make UT defend instead of losing control and/or getting a charge call.

It would be interesting to get clips of Jim Zabel announcing all of Lafester’s scores. That would be a gem to behold.
It wouldn't top when Uthoff was going off in the first half against us and Hansen said something like 'blow them a kiss!'. Then the 2nd half happened...

Another comment I like:
"Some of you aren't posting as much now, I know you jackwagons are getting drunk. Only 9 more minutes to go, try to stay conscious for a change, you wankers."

Some recency bias on "amazing guarding 1s". He did well against Texas, but how many times have we seen him hedge too hard at a bad angle and needlessly foul?

That said, Osun has been great and is a major factor in us reaching or ceiling.

I never go on other teams' message boards and make comments, but I made an exception for Texas because their arrogance is so thick it drips from the ceiling. Below is my post.
