Yeah, teams like Iowa with crap defenses.

For being the 6th ranked defensive team in college basketball we sure do give up huge leads. We just blew a 20 point lead in Norman a couple weeks ago in another game we could have easily lost.

We also blew a double digit lead in a couple minutes against Villanova that almost cost us a loss.
We didnt score a FG for almost 8 minutes. Our offense blows these leads, not our defense. We held them to 60.

.....what? I feel like that makes even less sense. It's offensive goaltending if he touches the ball while hanging on the rim, not hanging on the rim after missing a dunk?

At least it doesn’t violate laws of physics. It could not have went over backboard, changed direction mid air, and landed where it did without hitting an out of camera object in rafters.

I'm not upset with the team or the effort and its not personal for me.
Not an overly talented team but they way they play together, for each other, and have played against top tier teams, they are very much in Big 12 race.

I know the Big 12 is very tough, but the top of the Big 12 is down. Conference is very much for the taking.

We have 2 top 7 wins for the year. The resume is very much made. It would take an incredible meltdown to not make the tourney. That should not be this teams goal.

It's January and a lot can happen so the conference race is nil right now.

Fans being OK with ISU not winning a conference title for the 20-somethingth time in a row has nothing to do with what the team themselves has as a goal.

Why?

Get to the tourney, hope for a good matchup and go for it.

What else am I supposed to want?
Having moderate expectations or hopes for your team when they get off to as hot a start in as elite of a conference as the B12 is is absolutely rational and normal.

Saying you'd be just peachy-keen going 3-9 the rest of the way is pretty telling, I suppose. We won't agree on this so I'll just let it end here.

This result with healthy Grill is very different outcome than with Grill hurt
This..

and it isn't close.

Okie st knew he was out and they really started over playing lanes bc they knew only 3pt shooter we had was Gabe rest game..

Not having Grill and that extra 3pt shooting threat really collapsed our offensive sets..

It doesn’t matter how I feel…but getting in range of that placement in DesMoines has made me way more passionate than otherwise given they seem to be a lock.

I didn’t think coming into the year a seeding like that would be likely.

It can, and did. Watch it again. Whether that’s what they called or not can be debated apparently.

And there is no such thing as offensive goaltending, so it couldn’t have been that.

Agreed, lot can happen. Just frustrating when right there for taking and especially considering some other results today.

This teams goal should not be to make the NCAA tournament.
Proven it can do so much more.
Screw your 3 more wins.
Well obviously we want more but in college basketball it’s all about March. It was a lot of fun having an amazing regular season and then losing to Hampton and UAB as opposed to years we make the Sweet 16 but finish middle of the pack.

I obviously want both a phenomenal regular season and NCAA Tournament run but in the end I truly only care about one and it’s being one of the few fan bases getting to watch their team the second weekend or beyond of the tournament.

They definitely collapsed their defense in without the 3 point threat and made life tougher in the paint.

Grill is about a third of our three point threat. With Jaz out it’s down to three guys (Holmes has hit some) and with Grill out it’s really just two guys.

Peachy-keen? At least don't make **** up.
It would be a tough 6 weeks with 3-9 but the tourney is a brand new season so in is still in.
