So if you're not Mahomes level you're not elite? Allen loses to Cinci and he's not elite, Mahomes doesn't show up against TB, still elite. It's hard to nail down what the criteria is for eliteness.
I'm saying that if this score holds out, the question of whether or not Allen deserves to be called elite will be a major topic of the off-season, whether he deserves it or not. Questions will be asked about if he can win the big game, and does he turn it over too much. Is it your assertion that that is not true? That none of those things will happen? And that won't be a major topic of discussion?

Allen is absolutely elite. You have to remember also he's a couple years behind Mahomes.

Buffalo and Allen were just getting started and sucked in '18 when Mahomes was already in the AFC championship game that year and were just getting their first playoff experience in '19 when Mahomes won the Super Bowl.

It's way too early to declare Allen a bust, he's barley had 2 calendar years of playoff success now, give him some time, he's got another 10-15 years left.

Incredible effort by Cincy. The odds of a team losing a super bowl and getting back I believe historically aren't great outside of 90's Bills. Then Cincy lost their first 3 games I thought wheels were coming off. Amazing turn around this season.

Nobody has even come close to suggesting that in this thread.

He hasn’t done enough to be considered ‘elite’ yet, that’s for sure.

But he’s really good. If he had a defense and a better OL, I think he might become elite.

I'm not debating that it will be a topic, it’ll just be stupid. The people that talk about things like that, and the people that listen to it are also stupid, so it’s inevitable.

If you like to consume that trash more power to you, but it's still stupid, I'm sure ESPN has plenty of morning shows and Skip Bayless shows to get you your fill.

On paper they're kind of a mess with how they played in the regular season and the injuries. What Taylor keeps doing is pretty crazy.

Allen is objectively great but their window may diminish quick now that he's going to get paid accordingly. Bills will obviously be a mainstay in the playoffs but if they couldn't make a Super Bowl with their roster the last couple years, it's just going to get that much harder moving forward. They need to retool their offense a little bit and take a little bit off of Allen's plate with how much they pass and how much he runs. Breece would've been such a perfect fit but oh well. Bengals/Chiefs part two should be a doozy

Seeing both Cincy and the Rams falling apart at the beginning of the season was kind of surreal. Yeah, there's Super Bowl letdown, but not to that degree.

Really didn't have a dog in the fight with CIN - BUF. Kinda wanted Buffalo to win, but not mad it's Cincy.
