I love Brock and he's been really good, but he's still had 1-2 bad throws most games and has been lucky not to be punished for them. He's hit a defender in the chest a couple times and they just didn't secure it. Like I said, there's probably way WAY more good than bad, but the narrative could be a lot different if some of those plays turned into turnovers. I absolutely agree that he hasn't had anything close to something like that backwards pass at ISU.

How is that any different than any other QB? They all have bad throws. They all have some luck. Just because Brock hasn’t gone 25/25 every game doesn’t mean he hasn’t been really really great. And if he does throw an interception at some point, it doesn't cancel out all of the good things he's done.

Every QB has 1-2 bad throws per game; even Brady against the Cowboys. Don't hold BP to a different standard than any other QB.

I mean Dak had another 2-3 throws that should've been picked too. Happens every game.

I don't think either of those balls that he threw that were near picks were bad decisions. He missed the deep throw to Aiyuk by a little bit, but it was still a one on one matchup and if the worse happens they end up with the ball inside the 5. Aiyuk did his job and played defender when the ball was thrown a bit behind him. The other one was a tipped ball at the line, and those happen. Really for his size he hasn't had a big issue with tipped balls. Conversely Daks turnovers were just bad reads on his part.

The nitpicking on Brock is so weird to me. Go look through the stat lines of all the QBs this week. Burrow was the only one that looks a lot better than Brocks. And the Dallas defense is really good. I feel like if Brock had thrown for the TD instead of McCaffrey running everyone would be fine with his game.

This article is from the Des Moines Register but I picked it up off of Yahoo. It sums up how well Brock did according too numerous sports writers across the country.

I literally said he's been great but hasn't eliminated his bad plays and has been a little lucky. I know all qb's have luck. I think he's maybe had more than average luck on this epic run to not have those bad plays turn into turnovers or game changing plays. I'm not holding him to a different standard. The post I quoted said he's eliminate those plays and I thought it would be interesting to talk about how he still has some of those issues which means he can play even better. Which is crazy to think.

The nitpicking is occurring because what is happening is so unbelievable that people's brains can't comprehend it.

But he's never going to eliminate his bad plays because NO ONE can do that.

I think Brock's best throw was to Aiyuk to convert that 3 and 16. Hung in the pocket and threw a dart on a timing route that kept a touchdown scoring drive open.
That and the nice pass to Jennings at the end of the first half to get in field-goal range.
