Nope, we DO NOT practically foul out the entire opposing team, EVER. This was rare air for HORRENDOUS officiating.

Our team played a beautiful style of basketball both games vs Ku this year.

Last year was ugly but people who can’t see difference between our team this year and Huggy ball are blind.

Even though some on here don't like him, I always hope we get "Hollywood" Higgins as an official. I don't recall a game where he is involved being as ugly as this one.
Yeah, Higgins gets a lot of hate (Kentucky fans) but I've never had an issue with him. He does like monitor time though.

every unfortunate loss in B12 play makes that incrementally harder. we need an unexpected win to make up for tonight. i don't care what the metrics predicted, we needed tonight's win.
This actually makes no sense. What we do in conference play has nothing to do with how we will perform in the NCAA tournament. Last year we were in 11 seed and got to the Sweet 16 and played a 10 seed to go to the elite eight this team has shown, it is more than capable and talented enough to go on a run in March.

Given how this game went... we should have lost by 20. It was a miracle we even had a shot the way it was officiated. It was not a fair game for our guys. Felt bad for them. And TJ didn't do his job and fight for them either. I don't care if that's not your style.... it's part of your job to an extent. And no, it doesn't mean getting a T. It means getting on the refs (not just talking to them)... and letting them know you're pissed. It does make a difference. He doesn't need to be a total a-hole like Fran or Huggy and act like a little child.... but something needs to be done in a game like this where your guys are not even being allowed to compete on a level playing field.

Were you at the game? You can’t determine his demeanor based on the TV. Also, a coach talking to a ref can achieve the same results as flipping out.

Next month, when we are in the 2nd week of the NCAA tournament...and Huggy's thugs are long gone...they'll be an afterthought in our minds. Moving on to the OkSU game. I liked the fight in our team despite the officiating incompetence.

wat? so you're saying that there's not statistical correlation between a higher seed and a higher achievement in the tournament, based just on last year's result? i'm only trying to say that the better the seed, the better the chance we have at the Elite 8. i know every game matters, but we needed* a good, manageable road win here that we didn't get. this will hurt us.

EDIT: *really could have used

They can have off nights, but this crew was blatantly bad-bordering incompetent.

Honestly it was one official having a really bad night and 2 officials having a mediocre night. Either way, it ended up not good.

Be worried if they start losing at home, otherwise, remember this is the toughest conference in America and losing games on the road is going to happen. I’d be more concerned if they continued to give up huge leads.

Getting the yips in big moments may be the thing does them in for a close tourney game or something.

The refs were awful and it was a weird game but missing on the fast break, not securing rebounds etc were missed chances to still win.

I'm guessing Saturday is a loss with mismatches all over.

We haven’t been that good on neutral sites as well. It took Grill having the game of his life to barely beat a mediocre UNC team. We lost to, what has turned out to be, an also struggling UCONN.

Ok just enjoy the season alright?

Hopefully the secure a tourney bid over the next few weeks and it's all icing.

The same UConn that just dominated #10 last night?

Ok State 23 fouls against ISU. Texas Tech 28 fouls against and tonight 30.

Pretty much tells the story. If ISU gets an evenly called game they will win

You mean the UCONN team that just beat Marquette? That struggling team?

Team has to learn to adjust. We were close but just couldn't get one more shot. Hoping these are lessons learned that well pay off in March. Gotta fight through bad officiating.
