So does this mean that Fox gets the 2024 game because it will be at Michigan, and ESPN gets the 2027 game for the SEC? Who gets the money? BigXII loses out on it?
I wouldn't consider getting $100m losing out on money.

Yeah, "key part of the deal". Sure Pete. I am sure swapping sites was the big hangup.Pete’s gotta cover his ass because 5 days ago he said it wasn’t happening
That's correct. Fox was going to have to get some Texas and OU games for this to work. I'd assume Fox got some other games as well.So does this mean that Fox gets the 2024 game because it will be at Michigan, and ESPN gets the 2027 game for the SEC? Who gets the money? BigXII loses out on it?
I'm sure they will. There's really nowhere else for them to go. Bringing Missouri back opened that door.Ok St forum poster said OU wrestling will remain in the Big 12. Anybody hearing that?

The Big 12 didn't lose any money, it's not like Fox is paying per game.

Huh? Fox gets the viewers for at Michigan, ESPN will get them for at Texas. Big12 still gets their contract. So does this mean that Fox gets the 2024 game because it will be at Michigan, and ESPN gets the 2027 game for the SEC? Who gets the money? BigXII loses out on it?
I like the idea of Friday night games, but feel it needs to be an every Friday deal to develop the brand/affinity by viewers. The ACC had that with Thursday night football back in the 90's.
Not ideal, but I can deal with 1 a year. Plus if you go past 12 schools, it’s 0-1 a year.I'm old school I really don't like the idea of it cutting in on to High School friday night FB.
I we have good sportsmanship and show lots of respect to Texas when they come in November. I’m confident Ames will be very kind to them and they we feel even a bit of love as they head out for the last time.
Or is the agreement for X games and now they'd have X+ games, and sell the + games to someone else.I don' think scheduling is difficult. But do ESPN & Fox want to have all that inventory? ESPN can alway's throw a game on ESPN+, Fox is more limited in game time slots. Both could say we only need x games and Big12 you'll get a fixed $. So less money per school.
Over the length of a 6 year agreement yes. But if we are just talking 2024, I think the Big12 was going to get the same amount from ESPN/Fox whether OUT were in the Big12 or not. That's why the UT v Michigan game was moved to Ann Arbor so Fox could televise in 2024,Or is the agreement for X games and now they'd have X+ games, and sell the + games to someone else.

It would have to be after the game since you don't want to end up with unsportsmanlike conduct penalties assessed against the team. If it was bad enough would probably get fined by the league but I have a feeling that a few fans of other Hateful Eight schools might chip in on a gofundme to help offset any fines. If it would snow that day we could give them a "Philadelphia exit" snowball them on the way out.
