So does this mean that Fox gets the 2024 game because it will be at Michigan, and ESPN gets the 2027 game for the SEC? Who gets the money? BigXII loses out on it?
That's correct. Fox was going to have to get some Texas and OU games for this to work. I'd assume Fox got some other games as well.

The Big 12 didn't lose any money, it's not like Fox is paying per game.

Thanks. I do hope there was added incentives for our schools to move this forward. You know like promised real estate development and not just a desire to demolish the ghetto.

Man was that presser with Yormark and the OU and UT presidents a bunch of rose-colored ********. Yormark should have said “these arrogant pricks want out and were willing to screw the rest of us on the way. So **** them, we asked them to pay us a truckload of money then told them to get the **** out.”

I'm sure they will. There's really nowhere else for them to go. Bringing Missouri back opened that door.

That's because wrestling and wrestlers don't give a **** about anything but wrestling. They all probably think Nebraska is still in the Big 8.

So let's follow the precedence. Kick them out for a few years and then invite them back later if you want. It's also a bit different in that the conference was crumbling with the small size when Mizzou came back. So they actually provided an important help. Losing OU now that the conference has expanded doesn't matter at all.

So **** them

Huh? Fox gets the viewers for at Michigan, ESPN will get them for at Texas. Big12 still gets their contract.

I we have good sportsmanship and show lots of respect to Texas when they come in November. I’m confident Ames will be very kind to them and they we feel even a bit of love as they head out for the last time.

If it would snow that day we could give them a "Philadelphia exit" snowball them on the way out.

I don' think scheduling is difficult. But do ESPN & Fox want to have all that inventory? ESPN can alway's throw a game on ESPN+, Fox is more limited in game time slots. Both could say we only need x games and Big12 you'll get a fixed $. So less money per school.
Or is the agreement for X games and now they'd have X+ games, and sell the + games to someone else.

Over the length of a 6 year agreement yes. But if we are just talking 2024, I think the Big12 was going to get the same amount from ESPN/Fox whether OUT were in the Big12 or not. That's why the UT v Michigan game was moved to Ann Arbor so Fox could televise in 2024,

It would have to be after the game since you don't want to end up with unsportsmanlike conduct penalties assessed against the team. If it was bad enough would probably get fined by the league but I have a feeling that a few fans of other Hateful Eight schools might chip in on a gofundme to help offset any fines. ;)
