Really? I’d take KUs basketball program in a heartbeat. You know how many of their fans sat around and worried about the program having NCAA violations while they were winning a championship last year? Not a single one.
Wow. No point discussing this further with you.

I win lt say exactly what I think it was but Caleb went from Mr nice guy on the court to a total attitude change the last year. Went from humble to cocky, couple cheap shots, trash talking guy. I know what I think it is but won’t say it. Have a smile and stfu up is what I’ll do.
Just say it, we're all thinking it.

He wanted to impress his girl

Makes sense - as long as the NCAA continues to punish Cleveland St for Kansas' misdeeds, why would they be worried?

On the other hand, that would never work for us - we nearly got ripped by the NCAA because a coach let a player drive a 20-year old minivan.

Sorry to hear. We may never know the full story. Best wishes to Caleb. Never want to hit someone when he/she is down.
I am surprised they are removing him from the team. The guy has a back injury and I wouldn't be surprised to find out he needs some sort of fusion done. Anyone with chronic back pain would tell you how bothersome it is to your life.

Anyone think the pain meds (opioids?) he might be taking could be causing the erratic behavior he has shown? For all the love the MSM gave that team out east for having Patrick sit out for mental health, I would think Iowa State would be more understanding, if it is related.

Ultimately, I don't like this. He is a TJ loyalist and followed him everywhere; can't imagine this was an easy decision. He must have made a very poor Idecision, must have been worse than bringing a loaded gun to a former teammate who killed someone with it.
You may have taken this a bit too far, thus the negative feedback. But your point remains. Caleb may be dealing with his back pain issues in a less than positive way. One has to go thru chronic back pain, or a significant back pain situation to understand.

He is not going to need lumbar fusion. That is reserved for older, worn out backs. Is he having an ongoing back pain issue? Back pain was an issue, for sure, to start. Ongoing pain, I don't know. No one in the know has said anything regarding that.

Your last statement, referencing the Alabama situation, really doesn't apply, but I can understand the comment. You should have left that out.

Overall, your post has some relevance.

I hope you don’t have kids. Sure little Suzy breaking the rules is ok because little Johnny does.
Yes, you are right. Because I disagree with your take that you prefer ISU basketballs programs success over KUs, I am not capable of raising children to be good people.

Seriously dude, get off your high horse and pull the corn cob out of your ass.
