That corner 3 by Tre Saturday looked really fluid. If he can hit that at a decent clip he's gonna be real hard to have out of the game.
Both he and Watson have looked okay with that shot at times - it's huge in that role to be able to make that shot. That corner 3 by Tre Saturday looked really fluid. If he can hit that at a decent clip he's gonna be real hard to have out of the game.
Tamin has one job this offseason. Both he and Watson have looked okay with that shot at times - it's huge in that role to be able to make that shot.
Going back to Williams - I think either he or Lipsey (hopefully both) need to be competent 3pt shooters, otherwise they can't really play together. You can't have both guards not able to shoot.
Agree, I do think it’s more important for Watson to become a more reliable consistent 3 point shooter. He basically has zero offensive game right now. Both he and Watson have looked okay with that shot at times - it's huge in that role to be able to make that shot.

I’ll be shocked if He doesn’t start from the get go right by OB!I loved having true classic pgs like Monte, then Haliburton, and now Lipsey.
But I also won’t be surprised if we see big men play the role in half court. ISU already had a couple not that long ago and it’s a trend in the nba and internationally.
I’m not sure how he’ll defend but I wouldn’t by shocked if Milan is the best offensive player next year. Will be shocked if he’s not the best shooter.
He’s at least very long for a college wing player so that’s something.
If jones can make another jump next season like he did this season he can be a better than serviceable big 12 player and that would be huge. Dude needs to work of FT's though. christ. I don't understand how basketball can be that much of your life for that many years and be that bad from the charity stripe. Hell I shot better than 70% in HS basketball and I didn't even care about bball and never practiced in the offseason. I wasn't even a starter and went to a tiny hs. I wasn't good.I’m looking forward to Rob Jones returning. He can absolutely dominate with his strength and aggressive, relentless approach as a rebounder and screener from the low post. His ‘studied’ moves around the bucket have been almost beyond anyone stopping him consistently one-on-one. As he’s improving at passing back out, he becomes increasingly valuable in his 15-18 minutes. Big Energy Rob indeed! (P.S. I hope he can be coached and practice over the off season into becoming at least a 60-65% free throw shooter.)
Add: King and Jones in the 4-5 make a very solid interior.
Pass me some of what you are smoking lol. “Beyond stopping him”? He is the second least efficient player in the big 12 on offense who plays at least 40% of his teams minutes. 3's and working on variety of shots in the lane,Needs the Naz Long offseason regime. 1000 3s per day
Tamin’s free throw stroke is actually pretty damn solid. The mechanics and form look good. It’s clear when he shoots a jump shot however, he’s got a mental block. Whether it’s a confidence thing or just a little bit of the yips or both. Slight hesitation before rising, late release, and tends to fade. All that to say - very correctable and honestly we should all expect marked improvement over the next few years.Needs the Naz Long offseason regime. 1000 3s per day
Imagine how easily he could burn people to the basket if they had to try to guard him tight on the perimeterTamin with an outside shot would be terrifying.
He really does everything well but shoot beyond 12 feet.

Jones looks good against average front courts. Against good front courts I hold my breath every time he touches the ball. His rebounding is extremely average for his size, and compared to a guy like King it's light years behind. Defensively he makes some plays here and there but seems to get flat footed at times and tends to over rotate/close out poorly. That said he seems like someone who is great to have in the locker room and the energy he brings certainly is a positive for getting the rest of the guys going.I’m looking forward to Rob Jones returning. Tamin will improve. His work ethic is second to none.
If Rob can improve as much this year as he did last year he will be a solid post player.I’m looking forward to Rob Jones returning.
