It's comforting to know the Tom Davis curse remains alive and well at Iowa.

(you know - because they ran Davis out of town because he never advanced past the second round... until that very year they ran him out of town... and they haven't advanced past the second round since and have been upset in the first round often)
As a Cyclone fan, even though I disliked Davis as a matter of identity, I was definitely wondering WTF they were doing there.

I enjoyed the games @ Wells Fargo tonight. Well attended.

First time to see Penn State since the 2001 B1G Tournament @ Chicago (when they Upset Michigan State), first time to see Texas since the 2006 Elite 8 @ Atlanta (when they lost to LSU) and first time to ever see Colgate or A&M play in person.
Loved the "Live Look-Ins" from Birmingham too! Priceless.

Let's Go State!
Beat Pitt!

Yesterday during the Kansas game they did a "live look in" of the Furman win. The feed came on right before they hit the dagger three. Grady **** was at the free throw line and getting ready to shoot and Wells Fargo exploded. It was really cool and **** looked confused AF.

That was really cool. I thought WFA did a really poor job of showing other games though.

Last time I'm pretty sure they would keep other games on the entire time between games and during halftime. This year it was sporadic.

I had to check my phone constantly for score updates, I didn't feel like that was the case in 2019.

Some friends of mine went to the games at Wells Fargo. They sat in front of some fans of other schools (Illinois and Arkansas). Those fans were blown away at how nice and big Des Moines was.

They also said that the Arkansas "Pig soowee" thing the fans did was weird and dumb.

Hopefully your friends had a better time than the corporate guys in the section right next to Illinois.

I have some connections so was lucky enough to be able to go down in the 2nd half of the Illinois-Arkansas game. We were right next to the Illinois side and about 5 rows behind Brian Anderson and Jim Jackson.

There was an entire couple rows of corporate guys in those seats that looked completely bored and uninterested in even being at the game.

Must be nice to get $1500 dollar sears then be bored. Meanwhile it was the best 45 minutes of my sports watching life. The atmosphere down there is so much different than any other part of the arena.

My friends were in the Howard section. They both had a lot of fun. One of them might be a little hungover this morning, though.

It’s not Wells Fargo controlling that.
