It’ll probably help that TCU is in Dallas, so at least it’s not in the middle of nowhere.
Not a major deal, but TCU is in Ft. Worth, next door to Dallas. It’s an affluent school in a really nice area near The Colonial, which used to host a big time PGA event. It’s a neat school and a coach should have no problems recruiting there!

I understand heat of the moment but this was dumb. Assaulting someone is dumb. Assaulting someone after losing is dumb. Assaulting someone at this person's home court is dumber. Crime-wise aside, this is dumb
I think that happened in a high school boys game in Iowa this yr. The kid should be booted off the team.
unfortunately I think she is a senior

Gabbie Marshall for Iowa has sure taken a beating this year. End of last game she got smacked in the face on a head hunting hit that got bumped to intentional. Tonight she gets laid out with an illegal screen right at the end that also got bumped up. Near the end of the ISU game she lost a tooth to an Ashley Joens elbow. The Joens thing was just a basketball accident but the last two were losing team frustration.

Wow. The head coach for the Memphis handshake line punchers is coming to the Big 12. New coach for Cincinnati. League is going to suck in more ways than just not being very good.

You all hate Vic and Texas but they don't actually up and punch players in the face. BTW, they also had some issues in a game with St. John per some peeps on the Boneyard.

It will be interesting to see how these new teams develop from a competition standpoint after a few years in the 12. More money and being in a better conf can do wonders for recruiting. Then again…you also see big conferences with perennial bottom dwellers. ISU has been there as has K State and others. Time will tell.

I guarantee you that Pam Ward will not call Iowa by any other school name tonight.

The hawkeye crying was turned up to 11 tonight. Literally ever call against them they ******* and moaned about it.
I said this to my wife as I was switching from game to game. She knows nothing about sports, except for golf. She asked me why I get so mad, I explained about the complaining after every call with arms out wide, etc. My wife said, you should cheer for them since they are iowa girls. Told her I was calling a lawyer today and that sort of thinking is what's wrong with the world today.

Real Iowa girls don't act like that but then again look at who coaches them. They probably spend a chunk of practices doing their best "what did I do" reactions.

Best women’s player I have ever seen.
Incredible.
She has really elevated women’s basketball on the national stage.
Everybody talking about her - MBB tourney, NBA. Household name, the face of WBB.
Love or hate her she has done a lot for WBB.
Viewership of her games is way up.

Flame away

Quick edit - I am a huge Louisville fan tomorrow

Offensively maybe but I assume you weren’t old enough for Diana Taurasi? She is still the greatest women’s player I have seen play. Offensively she was unstoppable but she was just as good on the other end. She also is the closest thing the women’s game has seen imo to a Jordan level of intensity and refusal to lose.

CC benefits from the highlights and youtube era. ESPN also is looking for the new face. Paige Bueckers has been injured. Her shot selections have been insane - so that definitely is good for the highlight reels.

Taurasi has been criticized for her defense, but she understands space and angles really well. Especially with the Phoenix Mercury, who have generally been up-tempo and offensive-minded, DT can leverage her court awareness rather than trying to play lockdown defense. CC isn‘t doing that as much at this point in her career.

I see many comparisons between Taurasi’s game and Caitlin’s. The shooting and range, of course, but even more, I see their soccer backgrounds in how they see the floor. (And maybe in their gamesmanship, as well.)
