If Uconn wins it will be kind of crazy they have 5 titles in just 24 years but they're so evenly spaced out there is/was never a "UConn dynasty". Just every 5-7 years they grab one consistently.

KU only has four in history, UConn could be looking at 5 in 24 years.

Several different head coaches too if I am remembering right.

I am rooting for SDSU since they aren’t even good enough for the PAC whatever number it is.

The 72-71 score in the first game tonight is the 2nd occurrence of that score in this year's tournament. Arkansas also defeated Kansas 72-71.

The only other score that happened more than once was 79-76: Gonzaga over UCLA and Florida Atlantic over Kansas State.

Both the final four games ended with winner scoring 72.

We can add another 1 to the our list of teams we played that went on to win a natty if UCONN wins.

Not familiar with Hurley being insufferable, what's he done that's so bad?

His sideline demeanor is just a mixture of whiney and out of control anger. But it doesn't help that he's also a coach at UCONN and all their coaches have seemed to be pricks on both the men's and women's side. So maybe I'm putting a bit of bias on him because of that.

I figured it maybe had to do with him being a Hurley. :)

I haven't seen many ASU games (might have to do with their TV package but that's another thread), but when I've watched Bobby Hurley's games, I don't come away with the same negative feeling as with Danny.

Can't remember the last pac 12 bball I've watched. Usually avoid it because if they are on espn it's Walton doing the game and I can't stand him. ;)

Just saw that this is it for Nantz doing basketball on CBS with Ian Eagle taking over. I would of love to of seen Kevin Harlan get it.
Eagle probably is probably the "logical" choice ... I'd personally probably prefer Harlan, but I'm sure he'll still get plenty of play.

At one time, I wasn't a huge fan of Harlan, thinking about him doing Timberwolves games (radio, mostly). But I grew to like his style over the years.

They probably want a more buttoned down version like Nantz. Harlan is probably too over the top to get that spot even though I love that and I think Harlan would bring alot of good.

That's what I'm thinking. Although hard to be as buttoned-down as that, but probably wanted the closest thing to it. :)

I like Nantz in some respects, kind of steady in an understated CBS-esque way. Similar to how it'll be odd whenever Gumbel no longer leads Selection Sunday. Nantz may be a bit TOO "golf-ish," although that isn't always a bad thing.
