I specifically said “transfers” that you’ve hinted at. The staff is doing great, it’s your predictions that aren’t doing so hot.
The only prediction I ever made was announced yesterday. For $5,000,000 so we can be somewhat competitive in the marketplace.

The only other one I did was last year with a smiley face for Gaitan when he was all but a done deal to ASU after transferring from Cal-Baptist.

Did I hint at the world champion from Cuba coming? Yep, but it's not my fault ISU compliance cleared him for the lineup in January and the NCAA fubar'ed it.

Did I talk about Suriano? Yep, and the staff had that all but done until Michigan outbid us.

Davino commits on Sunday and by Monday noon flips to Ohio State because they have more money.

Did I hint at the Ferrari's? Yep, and then KD decided it wasn't worth the family headaches and moved on.

Did I tell people to be patient about this staff getting Nagao to visit when he didn't even consider us until this staff busted their ass to have him take a look? Yep.

This would all be a lot easier if all the guys ******** about wanting results would open their checkbooks and help, instead of whining behind a keyboard.

@stuclone and @buf87 know a helluva lot more than me and from what I gather there is lots of stuff happening. Oh and GFY crabby.

Davino still hurts, but Nagao would lessen that pain :)

Struck a nerve I see. Just trying to warn some others on the board that don’t pay close attention, that when TigerGuy says be patient and hints at something big you better be prepared to be patient for a very long time, or odds are forever.

Nagao has NC written all over him and could easily be top 3 next year. He is a HUGE get for whatever program wins his services.

You got beef with him, we get it. You’re not doing a service for new/infrequent visitors to the board by picking arguments with one of the clearly more connected posters we’ve got.

I get that it’s classic “ I know info and I can’t share it” that gets message boards riled up but what good is negative posting every time he hints at any positive developments?

So....after all this...you keep referencing the "staff" busting their ass. Every staff has a hammer on the recruiting trail. Ours has to be Metcalf, doesn't it? I assume his accolades w/ his personality has to be turning heads?

Truly a group effort. There are no ego's and they all recruit each kid as a team. And Nate and David are huge too. David Carr is a stud on and off the mat.

The big new about the addition/upgrade to the facilities were what @Tigerguy_ was talking about months ago. It was not his place to announce on a message board that Malcolm was donating $5 million dollars to the project. It is exciting and has been in the works for quite awhile. I am not sure why the announcement got delayed or maybe this was the timeline all along.

This goes on with the transfer market also. Lots of conversations going on with the coaches, the potential transfers and parents and whoever is potentially giving NIL money. Things & amounts are constantly changing and then you have rumors or new guys entering the portal. Look at Michigan, the Harvard 285 guy was all but locked to Michigan, but never announced and then Davison of Northwestern enters the portal and it all changed. None of this NIL stuff is done until things are signed and even then, not sure they are.

First of all, I have no beef with @Tigerguy_ . Knowledgeable wrestling poster, who clearly does have real connections.

I’m skeptical of all the “positive hints”. More often than not, that skepticism has proven to be warranted. Especially when it comes to transfers. I think the accuracy on those hints specifically is close to 0%. And I think there is legitimate reasons those hints don’t pan out that @buf87 just mentioned. I just like to post a little bit of reality.

With the new wrestling specific collective starting up, would Dresser prefer us to donate to that or keep donating to the CRTC? I know the obvious answer is both, but with some of us being tight on money I'd like to put my money where it'll help the most.

Nah, I don't buy that. You're a contrarian on most things. Just own it. Which is whatever, you do you but don't be upset when people bust your balls about it if that's how you're gonna roll.

The recruiting world is weird and the board would have no clue about many of these guys or have any tibits of info if it weren't for Tiger's info. Would you rather know if we have a legit shot at this big fish or not? There are not a lot of truly big fish so when you don't have the same level of cash as other programs, what do you expect? I believe we're close to signing several of these guys and in the perfect position to do so. But money talks. So saying there some almost moral or job failure is on the staff for that is just kinda weird. There's plenty of other evidence to show the high-quality job they're doing. But they can't make a money tree grow just outside the Lied Rec Center.

This is straw man. You’re just making stuff up. I never said that, nor did anyone else.

Read the newsletter and buy a chance for Taylor Swift tickets is a start.

In all seriousness, give what you can to the CRTC right now, would be my advice. When the NIL fund needs the money, I'm guessing it will be put out there too, but CRTC is a daily thing currently.

I do believe that if you donate to CRTC, the money at this time will go to where it is needed as of now. That might be salaries, freestyle events, NIL, CRTC athletes. I think the new NIL part is happening because of the anticipated rules that might be coming in regards to further regulation of RTC's and NIL and College programs
