Basically the 'ole speed camera argument, "That's my car but it wasn't me driving".Wonder though if Hunter could fight this by claiming it wasn't him placing the bets?

It's weird we haven't heard anything about UNI. Also wondering if DK did this in other states?Again, this is what I've been told...
Draft Kings just happens to be the sports book the players used. Not DK's fault.
Iowa baseball players used the book first. Got caught. Then DK did a sweep of the entire user base and found more athletes within the state.
You have to verify your device location every time you log in and place a bet. They know exactly where you are. If it's Ames on a Tuesday 10am at the football facility, they know it was a player and not a parent.Kind of crazy how they can track that. I'm sure it's off of the device location versus where the account was registered or what not. Wonder though if Hunter could fight this by claiming it wasn't him placing the bets? I'm sure they have a way to track the device serial number or something though. Way over my head.
What a cruel irony that a handful of crucial ISU football guys get caught based on a couple guys playing for the irrelevant Iowa Hawkeye baseball team.Again, this is what I've been told...

Apparently sports books do this sweep-like search for athletes all the time. That's how they caught some of the NFL players. It's weird we haven't heard anything about UNI. Also wondering if DK did this in other states?
Enough. You go back on ignore and I will not respond further. You are, without a doubt, one of the biggest pricks on here, so I will accept your judgment.Once you stop being a prick, then I’ll stop. Your schtick is old
I'll have to pay attention to that next time I log into my app. I feel like if the location verification is happening for me it must be in the background. I know it does verify though, because I live on the IA/IL border, and sometimes it thought I was in IL before betting was legal in IL and it wouldn't let me place wagersYou have to verify your device location every time you log in and place a bet. As of a few weeks ago, the number is five. What a cruel irony that a handful of crucial ISU football guys get caught based on a couple guys playing for the irrelevant Iowa Hawkeye baseball team.

I'm guessing they police it for themselves to make sure no game fixing is going on, in essence protecting themselves and their financial interests.Seems like extra work for them. It's not really their job to police stuff like that.
Weird for you to have me on ignore then take me off? ignore?Enough. You go back on ignore and I will not respond further. You are, without a doubt, one of the biggest pricks on here, so I will accept your judgment.
UNI came back clean. I was literally shocked. It's weird we haven't heard anything about UNI. Also wondering if DK did this in other states?
Must be smarter than our guys. I know for a fact UNI guys bet lolUNI came back clean. I was literally shocked.

Oh sweet jesus don't bring that guy back lol.Macloney, that you?
This shows how widespread gambling amongst student-athletes/staff is. Draft Kings is only one of 6 or 7 big apps used for online sports betting. It's weird we haven't heard anything about UNI. Also wondering if DK did this in other states?
He likes to booze that gets him trouble. The last arrest was for driving on suspended license and not having permission from owner of vehicle to use. That's quite impressive, disturbing the peace type stuff?
