I think Royce's heart is truly in the right place. But the mental illness thing isn't made up, and it's not just anxiety about flying. He's got some brain worms going on, and that's not a political commentary.

He's also had some unhelpful people around him, and apparently just bad judgment about who to trust and other decisions.

I wish him the best in life, I think he really wants to make the world better place and be a good person.

Amazing year he had and an incredible NBA future I think he could have had. He had all the tools to have a great NBA career. As somebody with severe mental health issues, I understand why it didn't turn out that way and don't fault him for it. I supported his decisions at the time, though the way he went about them was unfortunate for many involved.

However, his "crusades" since then have done nothing to help the cause for mental health awareness, sometimes quite the opposite by making it a mockery in many cases.

I won't touch on the political side of things.

Who is saying Royce doesn't have a mental illness? I don't think I've personally read that yet.

I used to watch a lot of Big 3. I really thought that would be perfect for his style. Not sure if he's still doing that or how much it pays.

I’ll always remember that Kentucky game, he was the best player on the court that game. I believe Iowa state played kentucky the closest of anyone the whole tournament? Don’t remember exactly.
It became a real tight one after start of second half. He was incredible.

He outplayed Anthony Davis in that game. Fred's gameplan was to force them to make outside shots. Unfortunately, they did in that game.

A lot of people may forget he had one of the best seasons in Iowa State history

I won't, he goes right up there in a top 5 of ISU players for me. His point forward skillset along with the **** you attitude and power he played with was one of the cornerstones of Hoiberg's turnaround. I don't know about the recruiting time table, but Niang's role had to be modeled off Royce's success that year.

One of ISU's biggest success stories, made more evident by his time after Ames.

Single handedly kept ISU from getting run out of the gym in that game, that Kentucky team was incredible. And he left Drummond spinning circles in the UCONN game in the first round, after posterizing him to start the game.

I still remember to this day. Not sure when but it got tight and Royce just made an insane play that made the place go nuts. Calipari called timeout and the CBS cameras panned in on Royce who was yelling at the crowd. "IM THE BEST &^%$#@* PLAYER ON THIS COURT!!!" For that night during that stretch of play- yes he was.
