We had strong winds here in Bloomfield, but no trees down, I had 1.4 inches in my gauge, really the first measurable rain we have had in at least 3 weeks.

Says 85% chance of rain for us and chance of flash flooding. I bet we get nothing. Glad to be wrong but everything seems to be way to the south.

Edit, now 30% chance, we'll get nothing.

We've got just under 1.25 inches (of rain, you perverts!) so far today. Still a good chance for more.

And yes, it looks like SE Iowa finally got some. Hope the wind damage is not too severe and limited area.

Can confirm. Springfield Illinois and surrounding communities all declared state of emergency. Lots of people with damage and without power.

I lost the lid to my garbage can.

Friend in Springfield shared photos of lots of trees down.

Yep. A substation turned into a fireball after presumably being struck by lightning. I have a couple friends without power. Lots of trees down. I've only seen one cornfield with minor wind damage, but there's probably more of that too.

Weather is depressing. Getting a couple day break from smoke but it looks like it's going to be an all summer thing.

And dry dry dry. Going to end June a at miniscule .93" of rain for Minneapolis. Had only 1.62" in May. Mean of the two months would be a little over 8". Looking just like last year. For April/May/June rain has been only 43% of mean.
