Fell asleep on a road trip to FL from CBus and woke up in Louisville and I thought she drove us to West Virginia.
Odd numbers mean one team must be on a bye week or playing a non conf opponent every week. Could get a little difficult late in the season.
I'd prefer adding remaining Pac schools first, but I don't hate the idea of UConn eventually joining up.
- Large public state university near some massive population centers
->(the only public school in the Big East currently)
- CBB blue blood that would solidify us as the best basketball conference, and could help entice other ACC schools like Cuse and Pitt to keep sweetening that status down the road.
- While their football sucks, they did make a Fiesta Bowl when they were BCS level. They won't put up smashing numbers, but I don't think their football program will the charity case people think it is if they're at Big 12 level.
That all being said, Yormark has talked repeatedly about being in all 4 time zones, so I have to think OR and WA fit into that vision. Regardless of what happens, it's becoming a great time to be a Big 12 fan.

Not relevant for now, but in my humble opinion VT and NC State are worth more to the sec than FSU and clemson.
NC and Virginia are HUGE ASS sports states, and the SEC already has a foothold in florida and SC.
My guess is ESPN tells the SEC to add FSU/clemson/VT, and NC State.
SEC will want UNC, but UNC will pick the BIG over the SEC.
I dont see SEC or BIG taking Canes. Small private school, hasnt done anything in football in decades.
Big 12 hopefully gets VT, NC State, Pitt, Louisville and miami.

Yeah, but does the B12 want Louisville? Their athletic dept has been an ethical and compliance nightmare for decades. They've been way up and way down in both BB and FB during that time.
Just as an exercise, it's 2032 and the B10, B12 and SEC are all at 16 schools. The next stop is 20 for all three conferences. The B10 and SEC make their adds. Pitt, NC State, VaTech, GTech, Louisville, Syracuse, BC, WF and UConn are all on the market. How do you rank them? I've got Louisville as #5 or #6 out of that group. There's more opportunity in going northeast and/or southeast than adding more in the middle.
We’re all waiting for Arizona’s decision. If they jump, wouldn’t be surprised if Oregon and Washington follow. If they don’t, the PAC survives this round and the Big12 goes East.
The next media cycle is likely to be flat (in real dollars over time) in terms of payouts. There aren't many chess pieces to move that help the bottom line. And the one after that might mean a decline in payouts if the fundamentals don't change.
The huge deals the B1G and SEC got this time around are the source of instability we've seen. Imagine what chaos comes with ending those paydays.

Maybe worked fine for Penn State Big 11 all those years because 11 teams for 8 games is much easier to work through than 13 or 15 teams over 9 games?

I agree with so much of this. I have a hard time believing Miami is left out when those 2 are done, but again here we are talking about Oregon to the Big 12. I never thought that'd be a thing either.
Also, UCONN vs Syracuse who do you have? I've always heard UCONN has more of NYC than anyone else. I'd vote for UCONN, if they grab any of NE too that's icing.
1. Pitt 2. VT 3.NCSt 4. Louisville 5.UCONN 6. Syracuse... I think BC and WF are hosed personally. I don't believe both NCSt and VT will be available and likely neither. I would take them over Louisville.

Interesting to hear this about NE schools and GTech, I suspected that but wasn't sure. That's what I've been telling everyone about UCLA and San Diego State...I'm dead serious you're more likely to run into a fellow Cyclone fans in LA or San Diego than a passionate fan of those school's sports teams.
NW and Illinois are like that too. Chicago has a ton of other B10 fans but Illinois and NW fans barely exist anywhere.
Georgia Tech isn't even like the ISU of Georgia where they have maybe 1/3 or 1/4 of fans and the fans they do have are crazy passionate like Cyclones?
I kind of feel like I want to get a Return Authorization Code for at least UCF and Houston.
Uconn isn't a bad add, and under different circumstances, I would be hyped.
But it would feel like a letdown after rampant speculation of other potential P5 defectors.
But if it does wind up being Uconn, I'll talk myself into it I suppose.
NCST and VaTech’s only hope is in the Big12. They aren’t getting an invite to the SEC or Big ten
I agree, BC and WF are hosed. I like the grouping of Pitt/Syracuse/UConn over swapping one of them out for Louisville, personally. A lot of that depends on if Syracuse or UConn can get some football momentum, if Louisville can clean up their act, and if Syracuse has a successful coaching transition in BB with Boeheim retiring.
Miami seems like a homerun for Big Ten if FSU goes to SEC.
I can't understand why they'd want USC (with UCLA kind of dragging that down a little)...and say no to just Miami and they don't have to take some other southern school that doesn't have any football fans.
SEC goes to 20, who do you have them taking? VT and NCSt have been tied to the SEC as options for 20 years.
Houston metro is ginormous. Twice the size of Iowa at 7 million plus. They'll bring a lot more to the revenue table than people think. UCF too, just not as big as Houston
