Seems to me there's a HUGE difference between how Iowa and ISU handled this. Why did most of the Iowa players involved transfer out? Probably because KF told them that they were done playing there, so they best leave.

Dekkers situation ended up being worse than any of us thought it was.... and now all these guys too were WAY worse than we imagined. It says a TON about how awful this team has been in the margins and in the details. It really pisses me off honestly. CMC is the man at the top, and he holds some responsibility.... I'm sorry. And Iowa didn't have anyone nearly of any consequence like we did.... that's not just coincidence IMO.

Listening to CMC yesterday about Special Teams really ticked me off too. He was talking about how they needed to do a better job of teaching punt returners to catch punts instead of allowing them to bounce and roll 15 yds, etc, etc. Oh really Matt!! You don't say! That's s**t that is taught to 5th graders playing football. Yet our guys did it all year long... and now you're thinking maybe you should have taught them better?? What a joke.

It turns out... IMO.... there's a LOT of reasons behind all the ineptness of these teams over the years. And it starts with poor coaching and lack of discipline. You just don't see the kind of crap us poor ISU fans see every year happen on other teams. Two punt returners colliding while trying to catch a punt versus Iowa. Our QB being sacked and while being tossed to the ground just throws the ball up in the air.... and it ends up being a pick six.

Sorry... but it just got really old folks. Maybe now we've gotten rid of the boneheads on the team and we'll play a lot cleaner? We shall see? Same head coach though.... so I'm expecting horrible Special Teams plays that cost us several games... along with stupid mistakes being constantly made over and over again. Hopefully we can overcome them?
If you haven’t seen ineptness on other teams, you did not watch Scott Frost coached Nebraska teams!

Campbell is going to ‘cut’ Dekkers I’m sure. Because that’s the kind of guy he is ... strict, by the rules and doesn’t take chances.

Dekkers is getting screwed as this is petty ****. Mayberry PD … I mean Iowa DCI … has nothing better to do than crack down on some kids betting $10 a game. All this gambling will be legal in a few years so that adds to the pain here. But hey let’s try to ruin Hunter Dekkers career before it takes off anyway.

I hope Dekkers xfers out to a school with a legit passing offense focus. Hopefully some smaller school will take a chance on him. I still think with an Oline and some decent receivers he’s got a shot at NFL. He’s got the gun ….

He ******* sucks

And what is Scott Frost up to these days? CMC is still a head coach in the 3rd best conference in the country. Frost is supposedly coaching high school football somewhere. Case closed.

For all we know this kind of selfishness may have been a source of some issues the last two years.

We'll find out about the apparent depth.

That’s what I’m holding onto. Maybe last year was less of a talent problem than it looked, and it was just a team with some really terrible player leadership.

Are...you...implying ISU should fire the football coach that has several winning seasons and bowl games?

The Iowa players that transferred out did so last Nov/Dec. Long before the gambling stuff hit the DCI.

So not sure the coaches handled much different. In the end the penalties are dictated by NCAA.

Someone a while ago led on that there were some issues with the '21 team but not sure what it was related to.

Always is a panic attack going into it.... but this year it is huge. Lose that game this year and watch out folks. Ohio might be our only other chance at a win if we lose to UNI... and that is on the road... so that won't be a sure thing either.

You need to j*** off or get laid more. I can be negative but I look like Richard Simmons compared to you.
Have you instructed your family to put "I told you I was sick" on your headstone.

Nope... I'm not actually.

I don't want CMC gone.... but ONLY because I seriously don't think we can do better. CMC is an average to slightly above average college football coach... but I think that's the best we can hope for honestly.

He's a good recruiter and motivator IMO... but very average at x's and o's. Luckily he was smart enough to hire Heacock... because without him CMC might not be here right now.

Deckers will. Be at a small school. The only place he can play is NAIA. And he's not getting screwed in any way. He’s just a dumbass.

So you honestly believe it's just a strange coincidence that the Iowa players that were gambling transferred out? I don't believe that for a second.

So your saying Iowa knew about the gambling issue last fall? If so, you have breaking news.

Did you watch Iowa's passing game the last couple years? Should be no surprise players would seek a better opportunity.

I'm a bit confused as to what you're implying, KF told them they were caught up in the gambling thing?
