There are good reasons to not make public statements regarding investigations like these as a head FB coach. Coach might have taken action quickly to identify any and all players involved internally. You keep those players out, but shouldn't be saying anything that influences the investigation.

Yeah and that's essentially what I'm getting to but I can imagine plenty of people won't look beyond players in trouble at ISU.

Lee seems like biggest lost out of the guys. Time to rally around the remaining players. Hopefully season starts and they can focus on football

It was dumb, they made a mistake, we all have done stupid things, they got caught and they are going to pay for it.

When I was in college, we used to run a gambling ring all year long. We hated baseball so we didn't mess with it.
Our booking helped book flights and **** to Vegas to get stupid. I was 18/19 at the time. Gambling has been going on forever.
We never messed with athletes. We knew it could get jail time. These kids were cocky and stupid. Life goes on people!

I've personally been through 0 win seasons. 1, 2, 3 and 4 win seasons.
I'm just excited for ******* football!
Personally, I think 6 wins is not impossible. If they don't hit that, oh well. You move on and hope the new recruits aren't as stupid as the past ones.
I still plan on being at Jack Trice every home game day to celebrate Cyclone football.
I'll keep donating and buying tickets until the day I no longer can. Them I'll give my tickets to family and friends.
Lastly. I had a daughter play D1 athletics. The no gambling is drilled in these kids heads all the time. Some are bigger ******* morons then others.
There's a great chance this open a lot of athletes eyes

I agree! I just glad all this stuff is out and now we can move on and all questions about when these guys will return are likely put to rest. I’m excited to see some of these young guys play and see who might take advantage of the opportunity they have in front of them.

I actually think CMC has handled it real well. Limiting the media days was a smart move to keep things consistent and not put other staff or players on the spot.

Nah. All that did was kick the can down the road. They're all going to have to answer for it, it's just a matter of when. Campbell could have ripped the band-aid off last week and everyone would have mostly been done with it. Now as soon as all the players and coaches who skipped media day are made available, they'll get asked about it. And the answer then will be the same as it would have been a week ago: "No comment."

Personally, I'm not into gambling. Others are. That's their prerogative. I'm still trying to gain perspective on why all these athletes want to gamble. I have an opposite view. I just want to understand better.

I’ve seen rumors of 2-3 starters for Iowa involved in this. I think there is more to come for Iowa.
