People really like to ***** about nothing. It’s really not difficult to figure out, and the more you complain, the dumber you look.

Do a little research if and quit acting like you’ve never seen a smartphone before. There is probably a 5 minute YouTube tutorial on how to properly use google/Apple wallet you can watch.
Problem is that if I tell my parents to YouTube it, they will look at me like I have two heads. The population that is going to have the toughest time with this are also the ones that would struggle to do research online. I have had to add my parents tickets to their wallet for each game. Nearly each time I have had to remind them how to access it as well.

Perhaps ISU needs to put out a tutorial on Facebook for the non tech savvy individuals out there. Maybe a few kiosks at each gate on gameday to assist as well?

With that being said, I remember a similar uproar from fans when they went paperless. People have adjusted.

Remember the fiasco several years ago when they perforated the season ticket strips in the wrong place. Hundreds of people showed up without the part of the ticket that needed to be torn off. There were so many that they eventually just waved people in.

The problem was the season ticket holders fault, but it was set up by a bad decision by the ticket office.

I don’t know how old your parents are, but my parents are almost 70 and had the same issue, until I said this is my last time showing you so learn or don’t go to the game. Of course, I would actually help them if it came down to it, but they got it figured out after that and it’s been smooth sailing since.

But the code is supposed to change and update every 15 minutes, how does that happen without WiFi or cell service?
This is hard to explain in simple terms, but I'm guessing it operates the same way an RSA/MFA token does. It's installed and registered with a preset math algorithm that regularly changes the code involved, but the homebase for that code also knows the algorithm and therefore knows what the correct code (for that person/ticket) at that point in time is.

I've been one of the ones who prints out our tickets. There were many times when the scanners were not working because of glare or the ticket holder couldn't bring it up on their phone. We were able to waltz right through.

I can see this working really really well.
I miss the old days when the university would send out the printed tickets, they were always fun to look at. When they started the e-tickets, we still printed them out, not until last year did we end the paper copy and use the e-tickets.
By the end of the season, we had figured it out, but it was rough the first couple of games. I would just give my phone to the kid, and tell him, "Look, I am old, and you do it." They would laugh and scan them.

I've been known to play the old card on occasion. My husband now has a shirt (given to him by our daughter) that says "I had a stroke. What's your excuse?" You do what you gotta do. I got some great instructions from another poster. After all of our busy-Ness gets done tomorrow, I am going to sit down and muddle my way through it. Wish me luck!

According to Ticketmaster for SafeTix.
  • The Add to Wallet feature isn’t available yet for iPhone users. Please access your tickets from the Ticketmaster app.
Can anyone verify? I am having issues with my iPhone

I contacted the ISU ticket office. I've downloaded the tickets and parking pass to Google Wallet, and also have the app on my phone. The items in GW have barcodes, but they don't refresh. The ticket office said I can just scan these barcodes. My phone doesn't have NFC, so I was concerned there would be a problem. But apparently, there won't be.

I’ve had no luck moving my ticket to Apple Walket from the ISU app. It wants me to do facial recognition but it says it cannot transfer my ticket to my wallet at this time, try again later. There is also account notification that says you can now use the same password as ticket master as you you do on the ISU app, but it will not let me reset my Ticketmaster password to the one I have on the ISU app. It says I can’t use a password that I have previously. Thing is I have never used the new password on either app prior to now. I know I can just open the ticket on the ISU app to get in game day, I’d much rather transfer it to my wallet

Might need to sign out and sign back in. I was getting a try again error like it wasn’t recognizing my account. Then after I signed out and back in, I made it through all the steps and it added them to my apple wallet.

Something isn’t right. I signed out of both Ticketmaster and the ISU app and signed back into both. I got the option signing into the ISU app using my Ticketmaster login. That was successful, but still no luck with transferring the ticket to my Apple wallet. It still ask to use facial recognition and says unable to move to wallet at this time. I’ll probably have them scan the ticket in the ISU app.
