Also, Ray-Ray Mcloud busted his wrist. Not like Brock doesn’t have other weapons but that sucks.

Who are the other ones other than Maiocco? That pod is fantastic and he seems really fair.
Locked on 49ers podcast isn't bad. One of the guys played in the NFL so he brings a player's perspective and the other does a good job doing the fan/reporter thing. They like Purdy, but give context about his potential shortcomings.

Ok
Article on 49ers practice from August 7th. Purdy is the first thing mentioned, but also updates on the other QB candidates (since Purdy is not expected to play against the Raiders this weekend for the first exhibition game).

49ers beat reporter for NBC Sports Bay Area, Matt Maiocco, discusses QBs.

Does anyone have a link to these Purdy practices, that Maiocco discusses?

I'm pretty curious to see how it goes with more film on him.

If SF can keep things rolling with Samuel, McCaffrey etc. they should still be in good shape.
I imagine he is trying to let it rip a bit in practice at the moment and not checking down, scrambling, or throwing it away. This is probably by design and makes for better practices for all.

Brock has seemed to roll out the wrong way when in trouble/make some passes he shouldn't.
If he throws it away when he should, he'll be fine.

Yeah I don't know...I saw Aaron Rodgers practice and do that kind of thing but that was 2018 or so when he was in position to do that and a different level of throwing the ball anyway.

49ers are kind of stuck with Lance for now. They gave up a fortune to draft him, but he's done so poorly lately that they won't get much in return if they try to trade him.

Given their history of QB injuries, and given Lance's youth, the 49ers may as well hold onto him as their #3 QB for now and hope the light comes on for him sometime soon.

It's kind of funny when you look at the 49ers QB situation. There are two guys who were the 3rd player selected in their respective drafts stuck behind a guy who was the dead last player selected in his draft.
