If ISU doesn't give up a pick 6 and catches 7 flat drops last week we are celebrating another win over Iowa and feeling great about the ISU team. Not everything is perfect, and losing 4 offensive starters certainly hurt a lot, but things are probably going to get better as the season goes on.
The problem is we said the same thing all last year. Appears to be more of a trend than bad luck.

Curious, exactly who is responsible for those things?

Neither of those things mean we cannot try some flag, post, go, and sluggo routes.

Not to mention any jet sweeps, reverses, or 2 back sets.

Those things you mention do not excuse a lack of creativity or a complete inability to manage a game clock.
Agree, and as others have said, CF is going to implode if ISU wins a close game, or loses to Ohio. I hate to say this, and I enjoy being on CF and participating in the game (during and after) but I might check out of CF for a week or so. [I probably won't be able to.]

The offense doesn't look good so far, nor the play calling. [I am only listening via radio today.] There is no run game, again, and the first half is about over, it's 0-0 at the half. The D is doing it's part, again.

Personally, I hope you (and some others) can check yourself today, and this week, if this game goes poorly in the second half. I'm not saying don't comment. I think your points have been made and are very clear. Even to check yourself for the abysmal 1st half. There is a lot to criticize, unfortunately.

Folks that excuse our offense and play calling are just going to half to have more time to see that we cannot play for next year, or the year after, or the year after, ad nauseum. To see that our offense still sucks, against Ohio, why would next game or next year be measurably better? To see that Campbell is indeed, extremely stubborn. To see how we are going to falter in the new Big 12, if this trajectory and play calling continues.

I'll leave it to you. We all love Iowa State. For me, I'm going to do something else this week, I think, other than CF. "Yeah, I have got to find a rhythm, got to find a run game. But what a great challenge for me (and our team)." -My parody of CMC at halftime, Ohio game. :(

Scheelhaase hire looking worse by the day. Why did Campbell fire a guy who was unproductive at OC then turn around and hand the job to his protégé? My hope was that Nate was an up and coming coach with innovative ideas. If he is, Campbell has been keeping him on a short leash because this offense is worse than last year.

Laughing to myself at the idea that we needed eight minutes or whatever in crunch time to put together a drive against Iowa, so we could "do it right," and we're can't replicate that in three quarters against a MAC team.

2 td's in two weeks, and those only happened because both teams were in prevent because they rightfully believed that we couldn't score twice if they did that.

The talent problem was obvious and should have been expected. The unwillingness to make any changes to a losing formula is the most damning part in my mind. They rehauled their defensive strategy after a couple games of failure, but for some reason on offense they refuse to get away from this grind it out philosophy when it's clear you don't have the personnel to do it.

It's becoming obvious that the real problem on offense is Campbell himself. This heaping pile of dung is HIS offense. His best buddy ran it for him, and now the young guy he threw into the job will run it for him. He didn't bring in an outside voice that would say no.

I was really hoping this wasn't the case and that Manning truly was the problem. But, it's completely obvious now that Matt has his hands in everything and this is what he wants. It's going to get him fired if he doesn't change - because this isn't going to cut it.

Campbell and staff overhauled the defense after the Akron road game, and that was a fairly comfortable win.

If this isn't a wake up call to make changes than nothing will change his approach.
