This is a scheme issue. The issue is Campbell is so stubborn, he’d rather lose than adjust his scheme and game plan at all.

Our oline let's like 3 guys through on every run play so **** it let's play spread with tight ends and just throw it around. We will have more time of possession that way than going 3 and out every time
In keeping with the thread title, I would be in favor of CMC using an offense. The punting and hoping for a score on D doesn't seem to be working.
I'm not sure that is public information but in the case of Colorado that's a unique situation with Deion's personality probably being a factor.
The defense played another great game. Now, if we only had an offense. Why was Kohl not on the sideline?
The good news is Campbell has no plausible path towards convincing anyone that the offense is working. Changes have to be made before next week.

I thought that was texas tech game.....it was like 1st and goal or some such and we still did not score after 3 times running the same stupid play...and we lost. Very parochial and telling. At the time I wasn't sure if that was Manning or CMC....who knows. How can you watch tape of our offense and not see how slow and anemic it is? I have been sitting here for an hour and have seen about 14 other teams have the ability to line up and get a yard or two when they have to. We cannot not and we are going to blame execution????
I think you are right. So many horrible games and bad calls they blend together. Might have been the same one where we had the FB out wide, with absolutely nobody near him. We don't snap and throw to him, oh no. We shift him inside and do a slow and ineffective run.
So, why do you suppose Campbell goes away from productive scoring offenses with Purdy, Hall, Montgomery, x, Kolar, etc... to a dull conservative offense the last year and this year? Did Campbell forget how offenses work? Did he get bored of scoring points and suddenly became enamored with the Brian Ferentz style?
I'm not defending what's going on with the current offense, but it seems obvious to me that this group of kids are young and not at the level of previous offenses. The o line is sub par, and missing several starters thanks to their own stupidity. Campbell has to work with what he has available.
I do believe that as this season goes on, it will get better, despite the quality of competition we have yet to face.

Yep....other defensive coordinators much laugh when they prep for us and then game day comes and we play exactly how they coached to and tip the plays exactly like the video showed them during prep and do nothing out of tendency.
