More than gone, I want his boss to be his ******* boss and mandate a complete overhaul of the offensive philosophy. You know, like in the real world where substandard performance yields write ups or performance plans. No reason a multi ******* million dollar employee should be above reproach.

Mostly apathetic unfortunately. I frankly don't understand how this has happened. Supposedly we have the best recruiting classes we've ever had and I think the culture is solid.. Its honestly impressive how terrible these guys are in-game.

I don’t know why people keep saying we have had the best recruiting class ever. All of our recruiting classes are ranked between 47 and 55 every year. Which is always way below average.

I recognize that both for NIL and for other reasons we are going to struggle to compete talent-wise, and I don't discount that in terms of my assessing how Iowa State will do each season. Before the season I thought we would go 4-8 but show signs of improvement, and I was okay with that.

But it seems extremely obvious to me that if you have a talent gap, you should not try to play like a conservative pro team. We need to look at where on the field we have advantages offensively and exploit that. I have no idea why we are trying to be a power running offense when we do not have the talent for it. It will not work.

Have they been higher historically? I honestly don't know... don't really follow the rankings

I just want a coach who is realistic about the teams strengths and deficiencies.
No coach will ever be that. They can't be. He loses his team and coaches if he comes out and says what he honestly feels. I guarantee he knows better than anyone here the good, the bad, and the ugly with his team.

What an absolutely asinine thread. Let’s fire the best coach we’ve had ever in the history of our university because we’re off to a slow start during, unfortunately, another rebuilding year with a young offensive roster and the first year with a new offensive staff. I’m sure fans wanted to fire Campbell after we lost to Louisiana too and we went on to win the fiesta bowl that year.

Lol. Go away loser.

He’ll survive this season but will need to make a bowl next year.
I don't disagree on surviving this year, but I have no clue what criteria will look like going forward. "Making a bowl" is about to change meaning entirely.

Is this gonna end up being like the time Greg McDermott's literal nephew was posting on CyFan?
