I don't see it as a big deal. The guy really cares about his team and winning and got a little carried away when attacked. Hell, the BB guy to the East does worse then this every freaking year and nothing happens to him.
I agree it’s really not a big deal. But the consistently terrible coaching on the field is becoming a big deal.

If he cared about winning then he wouldn’t keep doing the same exact same things that cause him to lose so often. At best you could say that he hopes to win. He really wishes that they would win.

A loss is a loss - especially to a MAC team. Point differential does not get you brownie points.
I’d rather be close and lose by alittle no matter the opponent then lose by a ton to everyone and not be competitive.

We’re gonna drive the most loyal and successful coach out the door. Iowa state will be irrelevant then and you all gonna wish you treated him better. He lost so much talent and is building this thing back up plus dealing with a gambling situation. Everyone acts like this is Ohio state and bama and we can just reload. Everyone get ready to enjoy 80s-90s isu football because that’s what we’re gonna get when Campbell leaves.

By 80s and 90s, are you referring to 1 or 2 win seasons? We're headed for one of those, and he hasn't even left.

Go project his record after this season and another like it. "Most successful" isn't that impressive.

Good philosophy. I’d rather slam my hand in the car door than my pecker. How about you don’t do either?

Maybe, just hear me out here, we should want to win? I know, crazy.

And we’re gonna find someone loyal enough to stay and be more successful than Campbell? Iowa state isn’t and will never be a blue blood. This is as successful as isu will ever be especially now days with nil. Until the ncaa levels the playing field this is the “most successful” isu will be.

Let’s face it it difficult to recruit to ISU and Campbell has done a better job than most of our past coaches! He was just like most of us unhappy with the outcome! But who really knows how many of the players were really sick? Plus loosing 5 starters for gambling and having QB with no experience doesn’t help! I just hope he uses the portal for next season!

Who cares about staying? Have success and see what happens.
If a successful guy leaves, that's a chance to get another successful guy, as opposed to what we do.

Why can’t we be KSU? Or TOE? I’d offer that maybe it’s because we all too often accept mediocrity
