Yeah, no doubt signs were showing in year 3, and then UNI. But getting slapped around at the end of year 4 should drive home the deficiency.
The lack of difference with/without Manning was another

The notion the poor details were due to Manning became more difficult to believe

Collectively, this offensive staff is awful as tacticians. They are good at the soft side of Human Resources

Imagine if the offense and ST got as much out if their talent as Heacock and Co

ISU would probably have a conference championship and maybe a CFB playoff appearance.

Uhhhh. Would you mouth off face to face, one on one to coach assistants or players?? I doubt it and this douche wouldn't either.

It's too easy being a keyboard gangsta.
If Matt pulls a Woody Hayes and swings on someone, all bets are off. No pun intended.

I felt ESPN was trolling me a bit when a storm knocked out our tv for a while and I put the game on my phone, having to wait first for the Draft Kings ad.

Not saying Campbell is doing well because he’s not right now and needs to get this figured out. But man I think you and many others are vastly overestimating what Iowa State is to the world of college football outside Ames, IA. Careful what you wish for because I was in school and grew up during the years of getting beat down by 3-4 TDs most weeks. We lose Campbell, we lose Heacock, and it’s a gamble that a new regime could be good at all.

As annoying as it is, we have a top-notch defense and that’s something. I get and am beyond frustrated with the offensive side of the football for the past few years. But one side of the ball is covered and until recruiting and attendance/donors dry up, you just hope Campbell can finally admit he has an offense problem and needs to drop the pride to fix it.
This is the most sensible and accurate post I have seen here all day. It can get way worse and we could be one bad hire to going back to that.

At this point, all we can do is hope that today is a day of realization and is a turning point.

Saben did it around 10 years ago, Harbaugh recently did it and they’ve taken control of the Big 10 and won it 2 years in a row. If those highly successful coaches can change, adapt, and adjust how they operate so can Matt. If not, it will be his own demise.

They literally promoted a dude from within the worse offensive program and expected the result to be different. Campbell is stubborn and this point insane after seven years

I can only imagine today is possibly one of the worst days of Campbell’s life…at least as his career goes. He is clearly stressed and frustrated…and he did not respond well. It will not be easy to move on from today. He’s about to find out a lot about himself…and we will too. Hoping for the best.

Was at our local g5 team a couple years back. Took my boys down and to watch the Florida Atlantic players go in the locker room at halftime. Some drunk guy yells at kiffin, “how was saban’s daughter?”. He whips around and a couple of coaches restrain him. Hope he didn’t think it was me as I was taking a picture for my kids.

Good way of putting it. Campbell has never faced this bad of adversity in his coaching career.
