I will say we all scoffed at George Kliavkoff’s remarks of how Deion would be valuable to entice more money from networks. The numbers from these Colorado games are insane to this point. Will see what happens when they start losing but never, EVER, would anyone bet Colorado/CSU would garner even 2M viewers let alone 9.3M.

That number is so insane at that time of night I don’t think folks truly grasp it.

Perfect storm game, in state rivalry, Deion hype, ranked team, plus the game was extremely close.

I like what Deion is bringing to CU, but am getting tired of the hype. Watching the Fox gameday in Boulder two weeks in a row with their gameday crew jizzing over him the way they have been is pretty embarrassing.

In between all the circusness his team plays with a real energy that's fun. CU's about the most interesting thing going in what I think is a down year for college football so hopefully the weirdness dies down a bit and we can just enjoy the football part.

Yeah usually I think the personal foul calls have an element of chance but it looked like they were just out for blood. I heard the announcer say 8 personal fouls at one point but I still can't believe it.

Colorado wasn’t shy about trash talking and getting into fights pregame. Might have had something to do with why CSU was taking shots at players. As Deion said, if one of you gets into a fight the whole team better get into that fight.

And don’t get me wrong, I’m not condoning the late hits that CSU was delivering. I just see this as a FAFO type situation for Colorado.

It's all the Deion hype. Nobody gives two ***** about this rivalry and particularly Colorado State. So the in-state rivalry doesn't really matter. This number is MASSIVE for an in-state rivalry between a P5 and G5 starting at 10pm ET. Again, 10pm ET...

Had this gotten 5-6M I would say damn that's really good, but over 9M is flipping insane for ANY matchup that involves a G5 team. The number is being delivered solely due to Deion and his team. The fact it was close helped not because it was a close/good game. It was because anybody who wants to see Deion fail tuned in to see if he would lose and how he would have to eat it. Villains and polarizing characters drive the bus. In the end, this sport, just like the NFL is a television product and show.

They aren't going to do it, BUT if by some miracle they win at Oregon this weekend, the rating for USC/Colorado the following week could approach Michigan/Ohio State levels.

I will never understand defenders putting their jock in the offensive players' grill when they make a play.....especially when the scoreboard has them down two scores or more. loser ball.
