Would it be available at the Johnston Backpocket location?I’m told Cyclones Hazy is available at the backpocket taproom now. Stores should be receiving it starting Monday (don’t know the time it takes the stores to go from on dock to shelf)

They had it as of a couple days ago, but I haven't been able to make it over there to see if they're out yet. Someone on here said they're selling them for $20 for a 4-pack of 12 ouncers.. if that's true, I'm OK just waiting until it gets more reasonable.
Yeah, I might buy one at $20 for the novelty but that would be it. For $10 I can almost make it my daily driver. Is that the real price? I thought someone corrected and said $10 for a four-pack. Or was that a different store? The price shouldn't be double at one place as it is another.
I'm driving by there Friday so guess I'll just call before stopping. Thanks. They had it as of a couple days ago, but I haven't been able to make it over there to see if they're out yet. I grabbed a 6 pack at 1:30 and there was still at least 3 cases by the Cigars.Just bought some at the Grimes Hy Vee. They had a few cases by the registers.

Just stopped at Backpocket in Johnston and can confirm it's $20/4 pack there. If guess it's a bar, so they are charging bar prices. I bought some anyways and the bartender said they have sold a ton of it.1 guy said $20/4 pack at Backpocket, then a different guy said $10/4 pack at Local Craft Cellar which I believe is in CR.
I agree, wouldn't expect to see that much price difference (especially with direct from the source costing double). Unless maybe they're hoping to capitalize on the buzz that we saw with the Ames Lager..
I'll probably just buy one 4-pack and be done with it then. That is more than I like to spend on beer, plus I've been a little meh on IPAs for the last couple years. I really just want one can of each Iowa State/We Will beer to save/collect. Suffice to say though, Ames Lager and Clonefest are beers I have enjoyed drinking and will continue to purchase for consumption. Still need to track down the Trice beer put out by Peace Tree. Can't find any out here in my neck of the woods.Just stopped at Backpocket in Johnston and can confirm it's $20/4 pack there. If guess it's a bar, so they are charging bar prices. I completely agree on this. I want all the cans for sure, and enjoy the Clonefest and Ames Lager for drinking. And I don’t mind the 15%-25% above market prices surcharge because I know that price supports a cause I care about. But 100% surcharge? I want to know where it’s going. This ain’t ANF here.I'll probably just buy one 4-pack and be done with it then. That is more than I like to spend on beer, plus I've been a little meh on IPAs for the last couple years. Much more reasonable. I’ll happily pay that (as long as it doesn’t suck).I think it’s supposed to be $10.99 / 4pack when it hits stores.
North Ames Fareway has some Ames Lager
Yeah, I doubt they are going to charge $20 at most retailers. Bars are different. If you sell cans of beer cheaper than what you are selling behind the bar people are just going to buy the cheaper option and drink it.I think it’s supposed to be $10.99 / 4pack when it hits stores.
Some in the produce section and some in the beer coolerAre they still moving it around?
Last time I was there, they had it mostly on shelves in the first aisle right under the manager's overlook, along with a small amount in the cooler.
The time before that, it was in the produce section.
I bought a 4 pack at Hy-Vee in CR Monday for $9.99. It is delicious. My wife even likes it as she says it has a grapefruit taste. And the cans are the coolest cans ever.1 guy said $20/4 pack at Backpocket, then a different guy said $10/4 pack at Local Craft Cellar which I believe is in CR.

hopefully its not your daily driver, or if it is, you stop at one.Yeah, I might buy one at $20 for the novelty but that would be it. For $10 I can almost make it my daily driver.
Would love for you to be able to get some there, but I think it needs to be consistently available in the Des Moines area first. I haven’t been able to find anything on the east side (ie PHill or Altoona HyVees) since the first week or two after it came out, and I check it out about once a week. And yes…I have talked to the people in Wine and Spirits about it.
On a side note…I did see quite a bit of Swarm marked down at the PHill Hy-Vee yesterday. While I was unhappy to walk out of there with my thumb in my ass…again…seeing the “price decline” sticker on Swarm made me chuckle a bit.
