Purdy is in the top 5 or so QB's today, Purdy just doesn't have a cannon for an arm and is not the 6'5 225 pounds, so people overlook him or say things like it's the system he is playing in.

The guy can just play, throw's a beautiful ball right where the receiver can catch it in stride. I get the feeling until he wins a couple of super bowls and starts making pro bowls people will always underestimate him.
2nd behind Hurts in the NFC right now. Top 8 for sure.

Franchise QB?

Also, what, exactly, was ISU doing putting handcuffs on him?

"Best version of ourselves." Twice. He's like a mini Campbell talking to the press.

Yeah, man, you're probably right.

I love him anyway. There are probably worse things than being a clone of Campbell, at times.

Honestly I hope they do continue to treat him like this. What a good way to stay motivated

If it was anyone else doing what he's done this year, it wouldn't be a conversation.
You really think he's top 5? That's insanely high praise. Justin Fields looked like a world beater today but nobody is going to say he's top 5. It would be, Brady is the easiest example.

"Doesn't have a cannon for an arm" and yet if I'm not mistaken, he has the most yards per catch of any QB in the league.

Being an NFL QB is about getting the ball to where it needs to be and exactly when it needs to be there. It's not a punt, pass, and kick contest.

Fields looked like a world beater today; Purdy has looked like a world beater in at least 7 of the 10 games he's played in.

Perhaps he truly isn't top 5 - but as the previous poster said, if it was anybody but Purdy putting up his numbers this wouldn't even be a discussion.

Purdy is the first and only QB in history where "almost interceptions" are kept as official stats.

Other than his 1 super bowl is Rodgers much different than Cousins?
Yes. He had a lot of terrible teams and still won. Cousins had some legit defenses and still couldn't get over the hump. Rodgers is 2 or 3 tiers ahead of Kirk.

It wouldn't. That's the poor me, ISU attitude. I gave the Brady example, he got the same treatment

Developing him to stay in the pocket like a traditional NFL QB, in a pretty strong era of NFL running/scrambling/moving the pocket QBs so Shanahan could let him run around and play his game.

Imo Rodgers had some pretty thin rosters to work with and got them to the NFC Championship game and had some ****** luck too.

He appears in another Super Bowl if whats his name keeps running instead of going down after the INT in Seattle.

Correct, KCCI could not have shown the 49's and Arizonia game today as both are in the NFC, which gives those rights to Fox. If it's an interleague game, then the home team determines if it's on CBS or Fox.
I think this changed quite a few years ago. I believe they alternate having first choice regardless of matchups.
